why didnt you use a length of boden cable with clamps simple easy and cheap fix. that repair wont last long as mig wire is harder than standard wire

I didn't have any spare clutch cable around that was left long enough. I discovered the mig weld cable, I had lying around with very smooth, mild steel, already made to go around a spool and around bends inside the rollers and mig torches, so it became an excellent alternative to the original stock stuff.
