It might be cause you don't brush your cats teeth and stuff like wires seem a good and relieving option for a cat to help their hurting teeth I have this problem with my cat I'm trying to solve

I use my magsafe2 macbook outside for astrophotography, I need permanent charging to keep up with camera power and recording over long periods. I'd like not to have 240v ac outside at all, even on an extension lead as I leave everything running for hours at night unattended, and weather does change unexpectedly at. times. Having watched your video, it seems to me that I could do what you did to repair, but also include about another 25feet, 8 metres of 2 core cable, then I can keep the 240v ac well away under cover. Can you think of a reason why this would not work, just an opinion not expecting a definitive answer, thanks

I've been through probably 6 of these dumb things with my macbook pro. The wire constantly frayed / split right next to the part you plug into the laptop.. I literally babied half of these chargers, never even moving them. I had one I left at my typical desk simply so nothing could happen to it and the same issue happened lol

This technique worked like a charm! So rewarding to see the green light! Had to cut out two sections of cable and then splice the rest back together. After pealing the plastic coating off and twisting all the wires, I taped the pieces in place on a board with the exposed ends perfectly aligned and ready for solder. Made easy work of it if you are working alone. Thanks!! Stupid cats :)

I have a bitter apple spray that works (when I remember to use it). Also, my kitty *usually* chews things when he's trying to send a message - this one was, "mom, the food you just fed me sucks and I want something different." Haha. Good luck!

Electrical tape is the best option because it doesn't conduct electricity.

this is my third charger broken within a year by the same cat... i have to legit hide all the apple chargers. i am going to try this and lowkey hoping i dont fail. update -- didnt work. bought the tape and attached the two but my hopes and dreams got shattered

The great thing about these chargers is they will not work if there is a short in the system, so if your dog chewed the wire and it no longer charges then you know it needs to be fixed like I did in the video.
