Great case. I wanted to ask did you just leave the posterior mock ups in place for prepping the anterior crowns and used that for the bite? I noticed you wrote you used leaf guage to open vertical to 13 mm from 8 to 25, did you not base the vertical off the mock up?

Yep you got it. I transferred the waxup just on the anterior then built the posterior up to that vertical with composite onlays using SilJet and BulkEZ that held my vertical open.

well done doc! you explained it really well as well. collapsed bite cases can be intimidating. im a new grad and had a doubt. do you prep the posteriors in two appointments? right side one appointment and then the left side after the right side crowns are placed, so that we have a refernce VDO? or do you do them both together? sorry if its a silly doubt. Would really appreciate if you could clarify this. thanks :)

Thanks a bunch! I prepared the posteriors in the same visit. If you do a bite registration before you prep the case, you can do a wash-impression over the same bite index to maintain the vertical after you prep the posteriors. There are other methods too. Let me know if that needs further explanation.

@@ChrisNelsonDDS thank you for replying. Did you mean that you take a bite registration of the whole mock up in the mouth? Before you start prepping anything? To maintain the vertical wouldn’t you need some kind of a stop while taking the impression?

I would love yo have my done, imhabe bruzism and TMJ. Dentitis barelu do anyone to my teeth. ,just lesving me to it. Its so upsetting. . I have a dilled tooth five months agi ppo im i. Pain thru my bite had a bite guard dor may yeard ,dont alway used it....i went to a college and they messed my teeth uo,. Deilled all inbween. And now the composite has xoming g off. I cant smile. Have anxiety and stressed out to the hilt. Had other hewlth issuwes. I dont want look like it , i cannot eat properly it makes me ill. This been going in long while. All my life .but at 56 its when they send me to have composites on the front top nd bottom and made a bidge job, students,... I was 56 thne ,now 69. Amd got no where. Im just told specialist can do. But where l. Im in Uk.. 😢😢❤️😭
