I bought this nail gun as we were planning to renew all the fencing in our back garden. As this involved 19 double slatted fence panels, 10 of which needed to be cut down in size, we knew there would be a need for a great kzbin.infoUgkxHQsUrwNr5GQrnx9V4xDdUr56qxwuiBHt deal of re-stapling the wooden slats to the wooden framework. Each alteration required the re-stapling of 62 wooden slats with double staples. Prior to starting the work we ordered sufficient additional staples as per the instructions with the gun.The gun performed fantastically throughout the entire project with no jams of misfires. The adjustable power was excellent allowing the staples to be fired into the 8mm slats to the correct depth. For the price paid this was a bargain and it proved itself to be so reliable and versatile making an arduous task much quicker and professional. I cannot recommend this product highly enough and it will be used on many other projects in the future.

Does your gun sink the 16's? I didn't know there was a repair kit. Thanks again!

No problem!! I was in the same boat as you building the house!! I was ready to toss that sucker. Yes mine sinks 3 1/4 16penny nails. Also sinks them in cured 60 year old white oak although it has a nasty kick back. But does drive them. Thanks for watching and good luck!!

Great video mine does shoot unfortunately all the nails go in halfway and bend at a 90 degree angle any ideas? Gonna open it up tonight and see what I can figure out that's causing it. I have about 50K worth of tools my dad left me since he passed. I want to make sure I can use them in all of my DIY's projects. Already ordered the repair kit.
@CollinsCountry7 ай бұрын
Sorry to hear about your father’s passing. I get 90 degree bends when I have a jam but also could be your nails. Might want to try another brand. Check the part that comes in contact with the nail to drive it. I would say there is a possibility that it could be damaged. Good luck!!

@CollinsCountry2 жыл бұрын
Usually it takes several thousand nails for this to be a problem with the springs. I’m not sure what could be wrong with your nailer. Check battery obviously. Sounds like it’s new so you should be covered under warranty still. Had this happen to a drill for me once. Good luck!!!

Mines flashing a yellow light what would that be?

Hey! I wish I knew what the light was from but I honestly don't know. I have not experienced that issue yet.... I would say to skim through the manual. It should tell you. If you don't have the manual you could call the Dewalt customer service number to see if someone could help you. They would know. Let us know if you do figure out what the yellow light means so we know if it happens to us. Thanks!

I have the problem with the gun fire and nail in only half way . It doesn't nail flush. Nothing broken inside. I have no clue what is wrong with it.
@CollinsCountry2 жыл бұрын
Hmm that’s an odd issue. Check to make sure the switch at the bottom of the nailer is set to 2 (this is the max power setting) and then at the top there is a yellow dial in front of the spring close to where the nail comes out. That adjusts the depth that the nail will shoot. Hopefully you figure out what is wrong.
@canlam56972 жыл бұрын
@@CollinsCountry I set to level one and level 2; make to difference. I wonder it the solenoid that pull the wheel down to engage with the hammer is weak and not allow it to fully engage for maximum nailing? The other issue i can think of is the motor doesn't spin fast enough. I have not seen anybody have the same issue as my.
@CollinsCountry2 жыл бұрын
@@canlam5697 you should hear the motor wind up louder and faster in level 2 than in level 1. If you hear no difference then I’d say that’s your issue. Hopefully this is something that can be repaired under warranty.
@DavisMichael-wx5mp Жыл бұрын
It looks like we are having the same issue. It sinks number 8 fine but not 16. Mine is a Bositich but I think the same gun. There is a video on saying don't lube it and I have. It showes using CRC electrical cleaner to wash it all out after taking it apart and it worked like a champ. Going to give that a try tomorrow when I pick up a can @@CollinsCountry
