With a front derailleur, you should also check why it fell off the chain ring in the first place. Most likely the limits aren't adjusted properly on the front derailleur.

You're exactly right! In this video I was trying to show how to get the chain on fast and get back home. Why I showed shifting front chainring before looping chain on. Thanks for the comment - much appreciated! 🚴‍♂️

No stick If it's come off on the inside just shift up and pedal, if you're still moving you don't even have to stop

@@diymountainbike never known a bike it doesn't work on, it'll certainly work on the one in the video If you don't have any momentum you'll have to get off and crank by hand, but there's no need for a stick
