Good video, didn't know about inflating the tire to make it more rigid. Love the pup, feed him raw meat, he'll have a better quality of life and you'll practically avoid a vet. Ours is 14, been on raw meat all her life, and she is still running around being a little mischievous pest like a puppy. Love that dog, I'll be a wreck when she passes away. Hopefully she'll make it to at least 18 years. Cheers from Canada.

Thanks for the video. Yours was better than the first one I watched because you said to inflate the tire to make it easier to insert the reamer tool. I was having a hell of a time trying to do it when the tire was soft. The puppy video was an extra treat. I have a German Shepherd/Husky, almost three years old, named Doofy.

The ending caught me off guard, but I loved it. 😁 The only addendum I'd make is to take the tire out for a quick ten minute drive to help the tire warm up and the plug to bond. Great video!

Great job on the video, excellent topic but also some clever editing. I have a big rig with a leaking tire. I believe it is a nail, and at $600 per tire, I finally decided to buy the Safety Seal Tire Repair kit that looks similar to the one you have. You made it look easy, and I hope now that I have observed the process demonstrated, I am as successful in my repair as you. Thank you for taking the time to demonstrate. i love your how to do videos, i wish you would show how to do trail repairs on vehicles like gladiator or jk, what needs to be repaired and how to do it video would be great, changing an axle shaft, fixing a broken u joint, any repairs you have seen done on the trail and how to get your vehicle back to civilization. this would be a great set of videos for the beginner off roader and would also help with selecting the tools and parts needed to keep your jeep running off road , these would be a refference series for all offroaders.
@wayalife4 жыл бұрын
Actually, we do feature some of that in our videos. Our Bedeviled video shows an axle shaft change and I'm pretty sure our Maple Honey one shows a u-joint replacement. We've also done ring gear removals on a few others. But, we also have specific videos that show some of this stuff in detail and they'll help out a lot on the trail.

I bought the Tru-Flat Radial Tire Repair kit. It didn't come with any lubricant or rubber glue. It only came with 10 repair strips & 1 closed eye needle. My husband put the repair strips in the closed eye needle. He did it the way you did it and when he pulled the needle slowly straight out, the strip stayed in the closed eye needle. The needles has no opening so the strip can come out and stay in the hole. So, my husband took the strip out the hole,put it on top of the hole and pushed it in with the needle just till we were able to get to a tire shop.We ended up having to drive the car with a flat to a tire shop & we have low profile tires so we got lucky we didn't tear the tire or mess up the rim while driving it 1-1/2 miles to the nearest tire shop.Do you have any suggestions on how to use this closed eye needle just Incase we have an emergency again?
@wayalife2 жыл бұрын
Personally, I would get a new kit with a tool that has a split on the needle as you see in this video as it will make the job a lot easier. That said, I think the idea with a closed needle is to just thread in the plug in just a bit - maybe a 1/4 of the length or so. This as opposed to pulling it half way through. This will allow you to push the plug deep into the tire and when you pull it back out, you should be able to free it from the tool. When done right, you should see both ends of the plug sticking out.
