For every DRD DSC followed by perfect ID followed by sector 0 access followed by final_lba access = excitement and thankfulness.....every damn case...the feeling ! the thrill!...a DR professional feels it every time...case after case... day after day year after year...for a lifetime... Its refreshing and a super dopamine high.

So THAT is what a harddrive is doing at start up. And so THAT is what those pins could be used for, always wondered what those was used for.

And in that case, why do you image it and not just replace the diode and send it back?
@hddrecoveryservices3 ай бұрын
Always image the drive. Drive can get lost or damaged in the shipment and if we don’t have the image then client will not be happy
@l3p33 ай бұрын
@@hddrecoveryservices Right. So image it and send back the repaired HDD then, keeping the image as a backup until client doesn't need it anymore?

I had a drive in which the boosted current to the motor for fast startup was not working, and so it took some time for the drive to pick up speed. Due to the delay, the drive was ignored, and thus Windows boot up failed. I took the drive out of the computer casing, and while electrically still hooked up, I held the drive in my hand and gave it a quick spin to get the disc spinning. That reduced the time taken to reach the proper rpm, and thus Windows booted up, and then I copied the contents to a working drive.

I bet its either a diode, or diode and fuse combo. Fuse if open needs to be closed, diode however, if closed needs to be opened

Nice and informative video, thank you. Is it possible just remove hard drivers disk and put it in working hard drive? It feels easier way if disk itself is fine
@hddrecoveryservices3 ай бұрын
swapping disks into another drive is the last thing you want to do... actually, rewind that. Its the thing you do not want to do ever as a user. NEVER OPEN THE DRIVE AND EXPOSE DISKS IF YOUR DATA IS IMPORTANT. This is only for professionals with tools but most importantly experience and skills

Hey! had a problem earlier as i turned my pc off while it was writing data as a result disk partition was showing raw and corrupted and I fixed it using "chkdsk" in cmd prompt and then data is again readable and is fine like nothing happened , should i be worried if my data will get corrupted again ? or should be rest assured that my data is safe .
@hddrecoveryservices3 ай бұрын
something was getting updated in the file system and got interrupted. chkdsk should fix it, but its best to keep a backup on a regular
