I did it once. I’d recommend replacing the air compressor rather than patching a hole. The JB Weld lasted about 6 months with minimal use.

doing the repair is not dangerous .typical.misinformation.....the dangerous aspect is why is there a pin hole?..was it punctured or is tank insided rusted real bad and steel getting paper thin?...if rusted and paper thin then it could be dangerous using the tank.
