Old video but still useful. My dad passed away and left me all his tools. He had a framing gun I was excited about because I'm about to build my first house. Unfortunately I tested it and it didn't work. Even though I wish he was here with me to do the build, at least I'll get to use his tools and now I have confidence I'll be able to repair his old framing gun and use it as well. Thanks a lot for taking the time to make this video.

Inherited a nail gun and it was shooting nails half way then it stopped shooting them. I pulled it open and oiled it and all the o-rings. Turned up the air pressure from 70 to 110 and it started shooting! Thanks for the video!

I know this is 7 years old, but I've got 3 framing nail guns sitting in the garage I've accumulated over the years renovating my rental properties that won't fire. And I always put a few drops of hydraulic oil in them before each use. And these are name brands,.. not HF stuff. This is the first time a video popped up that finally addressed the problem. Thx.

I bought this nail gun as we were planning to renew all the fencing in our back garden. As this involved 19 double slatted fence panels, 10 of which needed to be cut down in size, we knew there would be a need for a great kzbin.infoUgkxHQsUrwNr5GQrnx9V4xDdUr56qxwuiBHt deal of re-stapling the wooden slats to the wooden framework. Each alteration required the re-stapling of 62 wooden slats with double staples. Prior to starting the work we ordered sufficient additional staples as per the instructions with the gun.The gun performed fantastically throughout the entire project with no jams of misfires. The adjustable power was excellent allowing the staples to be fired into the 8mm slats to the correct depth. For the price paid this was a bargain and it proved itself to be so reliable and versatile making an arduous task much quicker and professional. I cannot recommend this product highly enough and it will be used on many other projects in the future.

Hey I’ve got never used before freeman framing nail gun and it don’t work. I’ve loaded with 21 degrees 2 in nails plastic collated and put a lil oil in the air connection were the hose goes into . Air pressure is set to the correct pressure but nothing. What could be the problem?

I have a Central Pneumatic roofing nail gun, 93253. I watched the clip and took it apart. There are two green bumper parts that deteriorated. One is a dampener at the very back, the other is a external dampener on the outside of the piston cylinder. I can not find a place to buy replacement parts. Major spare part suppliers do not list Central Pneumatic, neither Harbor Freight. Any idea? I believe that this brand uses parts that are designed for another brand. 2022-11-22

I’d take it back to harbor freight. They’ll let you buy the extended warranty and trade it in.

I suppose you have to have a big bag of assorted size seals ? where do I get those ? my bostitch floor nailer has the same problem but the seal from Bostitch comes as part of a $80 repair kit.
@WildmanTech6 жыл бұрын
My local tool repair shop had the one seal for $6. I could have bought a repair kit for $80, but since I was doing a favor for a friend, I opted to just replace the one part that failed. With some diligence and resourcefulness, one can actually find parts without buying rebuild kits.

Good video , helpful, but we don't have Ye Olde local Tool Repair Shoppe. We have Home Depot , if they don't sell them ,(which they don't, ) you have to spend time searching online. Then you have to wait until it arrives and find it's wrong and by the time you've sent it back a couple of times, you've long since replaced the tool. I wonder if there is a way to make seals, I remember when we used to make gaskets with a template.
@WildmanTech6 жыл бұрын
You have a home depot, but no tool repair shop? That's hard to imagine. I've seen them in pretty small towns. Dixon, CA has one and that's a pretty small town. The seal I replaced in this unit could have been made from the right size hose or a block of rubber on a lathe.
@davidgilroy24726 жыл бұрын
I live in a good size 'City" where it's much less likely to find 'Repair shops' than in a small town, Gone are the Mom and Pop Hardware stores too. We can still take tools to Home Depot and Lowes but even they, usually send them out for repair. I'll look for hoses, that might work, as I have several air tools needing fixing.

Lithium grease is not the best for o-rings or rubber gaskets. It is petroleum-based and will swell the rubber. Get some silicone grease for these rubber parts.
