You, sir, are brilliant. I managed to crash my brand new XK X100 upside down and got one of the props stuck. It took me several tries banging a Robertson screwdriver on the upper motor casing, but I eventually got it spinning, and the quadcopter, flying again. One thing to be careful of is not to damage the wires on the motor when you bang it. I managed to scrape off some of the insulation on one of the wires, but a little liquid electrical tape fixed the problem.

Mine has proppelar guards so to acces the motor i had to pull them out of a little notch but now they wont go back in it. How would i do this because its way to hard to pull it up and over the notch

Ah man you all just saved a lot of people a lot of money. My Hubsan motor seized up on me last week. I was going to try and open it up or just swap it out for a new one. I just got my 1st HY853 in yesterday. I'm digging it. Actually ordered the the HY852 and they sent the HY853 instead but I'm not tripping. I like the big battery bay on it.

Frequent Flyer RC Man... one of my motors went out on my HY853. Not sure if it's a FC issue or motor issue. When I plug in my battery my right front props starts to spin real weakly and non-stop. When I apply throttle it doesn't speed up and when I go back to 0 throttle it doesn't stop. previously to that, when it was working fine, I applied a lil crazy glue to the arm near the motor because I had a lil crack forming. Some of it got on the motors shell. I'm thinking it may have had some kind of corrosive effect to the motor's internals. I guess the only way to find out is to swap it out and see if the quad still works. Man... I tell you I'm hard on these things. I didn't have it 3 days before having issues. I was fine flying it inside. Took it outside and where I could have more speed and height for my fantastic crashes and that's all she wrote. Think I was having Tx range or interference problems because it would just drop out of the sky. Anyway. excuse my rambling.

Frequent Flyer RC Man I hope not. it was on the other side of the motor screw. I know I got some on the motor itself but I didn't see any evidence of getting it on the FC. It was more of a preemptive repair because the crack wasn't bad but I knew it was going to spread and get worse. I hope the FC is ok because I can always reuse those in some FrankenQuad project. Especially since the HY853 has decent flight characteristics, bright and several LEDs and a steady hover. They need to come out with replacement frames and parts for them. I can't even build up a micro fleet because I'm crashing them up faster than I can keep them in stock. I guess that's why you have so many or you rotate them. You don't hull 1 particular 1 out too fast that way.

No, different kind of motor. These are brushed motors and spark has brushless motors.

Well now. I'm going to be busy for some time to come. I have, no joke, 20 Dromida Ominus motors that I have replaced but held on to. And now I'm sure glad I did! Hi. I have a mi 4k drone which i recently crashed it. One of the motor got stiff and when i try to take off without the propellers this motor clicks like its getting stuck in d spin or jumping some poles . I opened and checked the motor and it look totally fine inside even the magnets are properly intact. Could there be any other possible reason for it? Like the esc ??

yes I tried multiple times and on a vice too no cigar. when I tried to test it, it would heat up and the quad lights blink then won't allow to start the motors again, thermal cut-off sensor kicks in. owell will try at microcenter or radio shack first.

So I got a sky viper spider drone for Christmas and it hasn't even been a week . It landed and one motor stopped spinning after a prop broke . Sounds like the motor is dying. The Syma X4 has a geared motor system so it wouldn't get a stiff motor. A stiff motor is caused by impact on the motor.

very nice how to my good friend hey had a fly away tonight my jjrc h8c out just doing some fun flying for myself got about 4min into the flight having a blast then it climbed & headed towards my neighbors i figure some kind of interference because i had no control wifi or something went down in the woods to dark to find it may be gone for good going to look for it during day time next time i'm off but i believe it's gone so what i want to ask is what would you recommend another jjrc h8c since i still have the controller or what else that size with a 720p hd camera would you recommend i wanted your opinion those woods are thick so i don't expect to find it have fun RCing

Sorry to hear that good friend! The JJRC H12C is a nice alternative and comes in bind and fly but I don't have one. Now a really nice one you can get is the Attop Sky Dreamer Plus! That thing is awesome! A little smaller but flies circles around the H8C! iRock is getting one and you should get it too! :P

Frequent Flyer RC The H12C is on its own protocol, will not bind with anything else. Yaw is pretty weak too, so no sports flying. I'll second the Sky Dreamer Plus YD-829. Just got mine from Gearbest yesterday, and it's awesome (except for one thing, I think you know what . . . RED IN FRONT . . . will change it later). Very interesting size between mini and micro, loving it, even in my little room.

tried it no good. popped off the back part. had small pieces of Aluminum. gouged the wires on rotor. spins a little and heats up. don't want to damage quad will look around in store for motors or order on line... 😕

Try again and tap near the center maybe. Works most of the times on a stiff motor. Same type of motor and it's stiff?

Loose motors usually means the bottom came out. Sometimes, if you can get the bottom back in you can super glue bottom back on! Has worked for me once..

Nice tips! I would do it a little different by using a socket or a tube to apply equal force on the casing. But otherwise this is great information!

Hi. I have a hubsan 4x 107d and My uper left prop dont spin if i dont give it à push and it works But when i have 50% power it dont spin as fast as the other 3 props by far so it cant fly. The remote and drone is perfectly calibrated and dont really know where the problem is. Maby you can help. Hope to se more of your videos. Thanks.

Hey bro cool video ..do you think this would work with a larger stiff motor? Its the same style Motor, nothing crazy just bigger drone. Im guessing if they were the same style motor then size wouldn't matter... but I've already tried pretty much everything else I could think of but not your trick. I bought the new remote from China. Remote is genuine. I am able to configure modes 1/2 on it. Hubsan logo and battery level indicator displays also are there.

Great video. To make it easier to push top of case in and not damage wires on bottom. I would pop the bottom and slide out the motor componet(copper),then you're working with only the case

I have an old set of needle nosed pliers that I use to squeeze on the little indented areas on casing bottom and that takes care of looseness. It's just a suggestion,I just don't like taking chance of pulling wire out of motor or cracking the fiber/plastic of the motor

Thank you for the info...It kinda worked for me (DX-5 Drone Sharper Image). It freed it up enough to get lift and does flips/stunts still. Now I gotta put back on the (Training Wheels) prop guard, so I don't kill it again. I hope. lol

Frequent Flyer RC I put some spintecs in a JJ 1000! Real fast but real picky about batteries goes into an early LVC with too big of a battery too much weight and motor draw. It likes the 260 MAH from JJRC and Eachine. 😎👍 Stay Up

great info really, one go better might be using a small short section of metal tubing to tap with, easier to get a straight vertical hit.
