How To Fix A Stiff Suzuki Alto Boot Lock

Massive thanks for this. Just bought myself an Alto and the back lock is the same. Should be able sorry it now no problem cheers. I need change the fan belt at some point as well. Cheers bud

I have the same car with the same issue , so was happy to find this video. Sadly it didn't work for me though. Followed all the steps and uses penetrating oil on the lock mechanism but it still won't budge. Any suggestions?

Sorry for late reply to your comment, however, alll I could suggest is give it a good soak in oil for a day or so. Wipe off all excess oil and try lock. Otherwise sadly it could be replacement lock.

but dont forget to put the 3 bolt thingy back too ... (need to do my lil Alto later on .. old lady of 2003 .. 😏. too late ofcourse .. it had problems already for a while ... now it wont close at all .. )
