What I found to make my rings fold with the same shape around is to file the reed ridge that will be on the inside. Making it closer to the same thickness as the center of the coin. Doing this before any folding has started. Because it’s twice as thick as the center it makes it harder to fold.

That was very cool. It appears there are a couple of methods available to correct issues. Seems like experience is the best teacher. Is that how you know how to correct something? Not just from understanding the end to end process, but being able to see where a mistake can happen and how to avoid it? Thanks for sharing!

I do have a small question, and it doesn't really have to do directly with the video's topic... I’m really struggling with wobbly and crooked coins at the moment! It’s like I end up with one side thicker than the other as soon as I do the initial fold. It’s like one side is squashed. If I can get that out then when I’m reducing later I seem to end up with an uneven press, one side is straight, the opposite has a tilt or the whole thing leans off centre. It’s really bugging me and I can’t work out what I’m doing wrong. I feel everything is lined up properly and I’m exerting equal pressure just one side is affected more - sorry for the rant just having a nightmare. Any ideas would be great! Thanks man, love the videos!

what I've learned, is if the hole is not centered perfectly this happens also after you stretch it shrink the cut side just slightly to even the reeded side up and this evens out the top after that sand the cut side down on a flat surface that makes the cut side even. now you can work the ring alot easier. if that makes sense. I should make a video on this
