Go to settings, Date and Time and then set it to automatic. Now check the current date and time. If it is correct then your tv will be connected to the Internet.

I did a full factory reset last week when the TV suddenly wasn't even registering any WiFi networks in range +which was a huge faff), presumably that was a software update issue? This week it suddenly lost connection mid-streaming and started claiming there was an 'authentication problem' but I just tried the static IP settings trick in your guide and that's restored the connection, thank you!
