I want a single grass lawn. But, my neighbor’s lawn is Zoysia and has taken over about a third of my front lawn. The Zoysia is so thick that I can barely push my self-propelled mower through it. I think that I have lost the battle for a Bermuda lawn. My backyard Bermuda is being displaced by Fescue. Defeated!

Q4 product seemed to work really well on crabgrass. I’m surprised it actually killed it, since its more of a control product and not a killer. I’ve used other products that stated control, what they did was suppressed the crabgrass which work but not as good as a product that kills. MSMA 6 Plus works awesome .

Just started watching your videos. I'm in Houston TX. My backyard is Bermuda & the weeds are coming in. BUT.... I've been putting only organic products on my lawn because I have lots of butterflies, birds, hummingbirds, etc and don't want to harm anything beneficial. I haven't looked at any of your other videos yet, so was wondering if you help people who have organic lawns? PS: this video is super helpful because my front lawn is not organic!! Hi Doc!!! Great series on fixing an ugly lawn. So very, very informative and instructional. However, here in Southeast Texas it is more common to have San Augustine grass instead of Bermuda. I am a complete newbie to Lawncare. Never really cared about my lawn before and still don't. But I would like to make it look a little better for cheap and no hassle. I have lots of weeds, dandelions, purple things, poppyseeds etc. It's a mess. Is there a one time thing I can spray on it to get rid of most of it? I really don't want to keep buying stuff and wasting time on it. I have a really small lawn filled with critters, insects, skunks, rabbits, etc that chew it up. My neighbors have nice lawns and don't seem to do any annual maintenance in terms of weeds. So can you treat it once and never again to get most of them out?

Hello there DOC!! I am so excited to see a change in my lawn after going through all of the steps you have set up for me. I just finished buying all products from Amazon, but could not purchase the Q4 weed killer. Apparently , the Q4 is not able to be delivered to my address in Northeast Florida ( Yulee to be exact ). do you know why? Are the chemicals illegal to use in this area? I'd like to start treatments very soon, so was wondering if you could recommend another weed killer comparable to the Q4? Thank you in advance and I'll be sure to keep you updated on the progress of my lawn. ( I'll be taking video/pictures throughout the whole process). Can't Wait!!!

Good video. I live in a transition zone farther north. With hotter summers I've thought about going to Bermuda or Zoysia, they seems to do well here now in small test patches, but neighbors on both sides have fescue/bluegrass lawns and any spreader type varieties will probably be considered "invasive". Have you had to deal with anything like that without the neighbors wanting to run you out? Lol. I dont know that a driveway will prevent spreading either.

I live in California, and my front yard is horrible. I want a beautiful yard. But I know the yard is full of weeds, and dandelions the surface dirt is hard even when it's wet. It looks hard. My question is this what can I do to get my yard to what I know it can be? I've paid gardeners and they've charged me to spray the yard with weed killer, but even with them I have the same issues. So now both my husband and have chosen to do it ourselves. Don't I need to till the yard at some time to breakup the hard packed dirt?
