Fascinating video, especially your detailed explanation of the internals! I’m surprised that it’s so large. I was looking at a 24 kw Generac (air cooled) and it’s only half the size. Nice to see your transfer switch inside your garage instead of outside. There were several threads where bugs got inside a transfer switch and prevented the switch from operating. You might want to consider doing a simulated power failure (a “confidence test”) every month or so, by manually switching to generator power for a few hours. I’ve read more than a few threads where a whole house generator passed the weekly tests, then failed when an actual power outage occurs.

Very good point. If the power is down then the gas stations are probably not pumping gas. Also a dual fuel makes sense so you can also use you propane tanks. Gas transmission companies have generator backup. But I do not know about local services!?
