Did exactly this. Came to the conclusion that it is only the KZbin application where the keyboard will encounter functionality problems. All other applications which run the android keyboard are unaffected. This has persisted on the KZbin application for the last 8 months and after 2 dozen reports sent, they still ignore the issue which is most likely a simple bug fix. This is a KZbin problem with the keyboard, not a phone UI problem.

I patiently waited 30+ seconds to type this out to you and tell you that you're not alone. What I do now is sometimes type what I want into my Notes app and then paste in into KZbin. Do your comments ever turn to black font while you're typing then, obscuring what your type and not allowing you to proofread, like it is happening to me right now as I type this?

Same issue on my note 8 android phone it only freezes up on KZbin comments section but works fine everywhere else I shouldn't have to buy a new cell phone it's absolute garbage it took me awhile to get it to work just to make this comment!

@@casmartin790 yes, the same exact issue you have described in your comment happens as well. It happens less than normal, but still occurs once every 20 or attempts to comment on something. What will happen is when the comment box comes up, it will flash the keyboard like it's ready and just disappear leaving a black box that will still output keystroke clicks if you touch that keyboard area that has disappeared. Other times it just locks up and the whole thing disappears. Billion dollar company, some of the most worthless developers.

It's only 1 key on my Gboard that's not working. It literally just started 10 mins ago out of NOWHERE!! I was trying to type a question that began with the letter "D" and then when I tried to press any letter after that, nothing would happen; it's like the writing just stopped for 5 or 10 seconds. Then all the letters would would flood in that I had typed seconds B4. At 1st I thought it was a temporary glitch, but it keeps doing it & only when I type the letter "D." I don't understand why it's that 1 particular letter. It had been showing no signs of this until 30mins ago. So how I have to uninstall the keyboard & reinstall it?? BTW, I have a Motorola Stylus 5G.

Hi my problem is the Gboard keyboard is covering my page too tall. Even in the shortest setting in Gboard preferences. I was going daft there without the numbers at the top of my Samsung board there the tab was on and was using that gboard for the day omg it's awful! All I had to to was clear the data think goodlocks theam Park buggered it up! I've been using Samsung board for years so it's what I'm used to! The second layout with ?,! Etc I can't get used to being all in different places on the gboard lol

Great thank you! 🙏 This certainly got me on the right path. I went in to the Gboard app after trying your first suggestion unsuccessfully, and just pressed 'uninstall updates'. It warned me that it would return to the factor version and I clicked okay. The keyboard is now working fine and I can write this comment! Thanks again 😊

Go on Google and then press the voice chat thingie where you don't need a keyboard you just need to use your voice and then say "Keyboards apps" and then click on whatever you want or you can say "Google keyboard " I hope it works

I have Gboard as default and whenever I click on replies on KZbin my keyboard kind of lags and stops working and it lasts for a minute or so before it turns to normal , idk what is the reason behind the stalling on one specific app doing a specific thing. ( I can still type when you go to comment section via the "liked comment "notification without any stalling)

Neither of these suggestions worked for me. I am experiencing cursor jump back to the start only in my default Samsung text messaging app. The Samsung keyboard works great everywhere else, including here on YT. Earlier this week, my father asked for help with his KB on his phone. He had cursor jump, and his microphone icon was grayed out. I saw he was using Gboard, so I switched him back to the Samsung KB, since that's what I use and haven't had problems with before. And I turned on a setting for VTT. He got the mic. But he didn't get rid of the cursor jump. This weekend, my phone developed the cursor jump, with the Samsung KB, also. Behind the scenes software update shenanigans, if you ask me. I verified my messenger and keyboard were up to date. Cleared cache. Reset to default. Cleared all KB data. Went to safe mode. Restarted after each attempt. The cursor jump remains. Installed Gboard. Restarted. Phone shows it's installed. But I can only use the Samsung KB. The SKB option is now grayed out but the slider is stuck in the on position. I slid the Gboard slider on as well, but the messenger app is stuck on stupid--er, Samsung. My father just told me he turned his phone off and left it off overnight one night, and that got rid of his cursor jump. So I will try that tonight as well. I have typed all of this in the YT comments box without the cursor jumping even once. This reinforces to me that the cause of the problem is local to the Samsung default text msg app.

Did the cursor jump stopped after you turned off phone? I have the exact same problem. The reviews on the app said to make sure you have a particular version which I do not but it is the latest version. I'm looking to replace the app just on the messaging app.

@@sunny11k I did everything I could think of and that others suggested, including powering off, rebooting, etc. I ended up reactivating an old phone. When that old phone died, I tried to reactivate the Samsung, but no one supported it anymore, so I had to buy a new phone. Therefore, idk that the keyboard glitch was ever fixed.
