Thanks... now I have the knowledge to get it fixed at the store--I upgraded to a new phone and have the same issue with a message saying my phone is not registered on network--tired to add it to network and got " network not available-try later"!

This problem of not registered on network unexpectedly appeared on my phone and I removed the sim card, gently wiped it and blew air into the slot before reinserting it and restarting the phone and it now works fine.

What if a phone of mine broke and I toke the sim card (metropcs network) into a different phone, same model etc. I get this problem, no data no network provider. What I do then?

My phone will work fine for several hours then I start getting no connection followed by "not registered on a network" messages. Sometimes restarting the phone will "fix" the problem for between 5 minutes and several hours I've gotten a new SIM card, restarted everything multiple times, phone is fully updated (checked about 10 minutes ago) and I have good connection. Every other device in my home is working fine and also has good connection. Any thoughts?
