How to Fix Archived Stories Missing on Instagram - iPhone & Android

Simply reinstalling the app without deleting any cache or data just fixed stories greyed out when selecting them to add them to highlights. Thank you very much!!

I can see my archive stories but sometimes some videos aren't archived at all, I can't find them back, while others are saved normally, some are missing in the list, is there an explanation or solution?

i have the same problem, only specific stories missing (a grey page saying "this story is unavailable"). i noticed that some of my unavailable stories came back a long time after, so i guess it has to do with internal Instagram checks. most of my missing stories contain dancing where there is some nudity so it could make sense. still very annoying though :')
