Same with mine, you will probably need to buy a new one, the speaker is out of charge. Unless you can find a new speaker for your beats it won't work. The wire isn't broken. And the wire with connects to your headphones to your device I changed it and it still is the same so it's not the wire. So I would recommend getting new headphones or try to find a speaker to buy, but it might be a bit of work to fix it. You could give it to Apple to fix it up a bit

I have the same problem and what I do is kind of put my fingers inbentween the outer part of it and the part where you put ur ear up to (its obvious when you see it) and just run my fingers around it and then boom it works until it just cuts out, which then I just do it again. its risk-free as long as you dont pull off the ear part.

Thanks this was very helpful. Headphones working again in my case. Wire was not broken, but badly crimped in one spot. After straightening it out and re-assembling the headphones they are back in action. I don't think I will be buying beats again though. With the rubber tabs try some baby oil or a little soapy water just a drip on each tab should come right out or go back in! Very good video!

my left speaker wasn't working, so i tried this both sides, i couldn't find a broken wire though... probably just a problem with the speaker. also, anyone thinking about trying this but not wanting to mess up the headphones, i know hardly anything about dismantling things and i didn't make anything any worse. it's worth a try.

My Solo3 have one side speaker not working, just outside the 12 month apple warranty too. Mine did not have that center screw at 1:58. Also dissembled and saw no visible wire issues.

I have soul X-tra headphone and they suddenly stopped working earlier this week, in that there is completely no sound output from the left headphone (no static either). The sound is coming through fine on the right and they are connecting. I have tried taking them apart and found the wiring to be intact and also connected to another device and found it has the same problems. just FYI on instead of pushing rubber things through with fingers or butter knife it's much easy to take butter knife on opposite side to get it started and then just gently pull all around and they pop out. hope u understand how I am saying this.

The one thing that I always do is put a warranty or protection plan on it and I always renew it because my headphones have been put in the shop twice now. I’ve had two replacement because the speaker wasn’t replaceable. Remind you brand new and the do the same thing as the old headphones right speaker was broken so it’s a lot easier to pay and extra 25 dollars for something that lasts five years

The right side of my Beats solo 2 quit working so I watched this video and followed step by step what you said. Turns out my wire had broken so my Dad and I soldered the wire back together but the right side still isn't working. I remembered I had a spool of Ethernet cable, so I dissected the thin gauge wire out of it. Any 24 or 26 gauge wire will work. There's official replacement wire on eBay too.

Yes. wires should not touch because you won't get audio and possibly damage the headphones.
