The laying worker can not fly back to the hive or what?

I don't like the shaking off in the grass method because you can lose nurse bees that way. I much prefer taking the frames from the laying worker colony and dividing them equally between your other colonies then taking one frame from some of your other colonies and rebuilding the original. If there's any bees left in the box just dump them into one the other colonies just smoke heavily the colonies that received the new frames and bees.
