I haven't had a BSoD in Windows 10 for at least four years, it's the main reason I've always told people how great 10 is when they complain that their Windows 7 or 8.1 isn't supported by a piece of software. I've used every Microsoft operating system from MSDOS 6.22 up to Windows 10 and only those two are the ones that never crashed or froze or gave me a BSoD just for plugging in a USB device. BSoDs were an absolute nightmare (particularly on Vista) but after 20 years they finally made a stable OS with Windows 10.

I've turned off the automatic reboot on mine. It most often BSoD's when I am away from the computer, and I want to know if it crashed, in case there is something to fix.

Hello, the blue screen appeared just after I plugged in my external hard drive Toshiba 2Tb however with other removable disk I am not having this issue. Any help please???

Does it work on other PCs? Can you try it? Most likely there’s a problem with the hard drive itself. Could be faulty. Another issue - outdated or incompatible drivers for the USB connection or the storage devices Aaaalso, in some cases, the external HDD might not be receiving enough power from the USB port. This can happen with higher-power drives or if you're using a USB hub.

Ookay, there's quite a bit if possible solutions: You could run Windows Memory Diagnostic to check for RAM issues, uninstall the latest updates, or check for third-party software that might be causing problems. The same goes for drivers. Perhaps there are corrupted system files? Try running System File Checker. Hope one of these helps! 🙌

Try double checking the Wi-Fi drivers, they might need an update. Which error code are you getting?

Yeah, that's pretty common, so you can try going to ,,advanced network settings" and do a ,,network reset". Another way to try - View network connections and then Enable your Network Adapter. Hope that helps!
