I'll give this ago. We have a 2019 Toyota Yaris and a new Nokia 2.3 android. It connects no problem but when you receive a call it drops the call and says call ended and then the caller can hear the radio. It then reconnects and let's you talk for a random amount of seconds and then drops the call again and reconnects... OMG what are they doing to fix these Bluetooth issues? Is there any updates that Toyota can flash the head unit with to eliminate these frustrating bugs? Anyway as said I'll try this solution a try and let you know. Cheers.

The reason you have to help 2 -3 people a day is because Toyota Bluetooth SUCKS. My android works fine in Chrysler and Ford rentals. It works great in my Jeep. After pairing, as soon as I start one of the vehicles, the phone connects for music and phone. But its crap in the Toyota. After I have parked the Corolla and go about my day, I may use another bluetooth device for audio. If I do, then the Toyota will not reconnect to the phone after I get back to the car and start it up. I have to take the time to turn bluetooth on and off to get the Toyota to connect. I dont have this problem in any other vehicle. I think the problem is with ENTUNE apps.

My Infiniti has a very unreliable bluetooth connection. The slightest thing sets it off to being jittery. I have tried a lot of things like this, but not this exact thing. I am hoping it will work on the different system too. I have had the vehicle for 2 years and nothing seems to work. The weird thing about the jittery connection is that it never can recover once it starts. It is not like if I walk too far from a bluetooth device I can walk back and the connection is restored.

UPDATE!!! for those out there thinking that the new Entune 3.0 has come to solve many of this connection issues WRONG!! just got the 2018 Camry with entunes 3.0 and the connecting and disconnecting every 10 seconds keeps occurring even with a brand new phone Galaxy S8+ this phone is listed as compatible on the entunes website so i wonder what the issue is.. Horrible experience with the only entertainment you have on short and long trips..

I just got a call from Toyota. My wife's 2016 Highlander has the bluetooth problem of constant disconnetions, and sometimes when she tries to answer a call it turns off the phone. toyota claims The Samsung phones get such frequent updates that toyota can not keep up with it. I don't believe that, think its just a bunch of bulls... I was to told to disconnect the phone and remove it from the bluetooth ever time samsung updates. I think Toyota needs to fess up and fix this. Other manufacturers cars don't seem to have this problem, just Toyota.

I had done what he did (first 2 steps) but it was still not working and driving me nuts. I have a 2014 Prius and my husband has a 2017 Camry. We both have iPhone 6 and routinely run into bluetooth issues. The cars seem to randomly determine when and if they will connect. Both are already paired. Sometimes, they connect on startup, sometimes, a few miles down the road, sometimes, even after power cycling the phone, turning the car off and back on and removing the devices on bluetooth they still won't connect. I've sat in a parking lot for 30 minutes before struggling to get the car and phone to connect. The most recent incident, the Camry refused to connect for 2 hours on the drive. We stopped to gas up and shut the car off. Upon getting back in the car, it paired instantly. What causes this? How can we fix it when it happens? We haven't tried power cycling the audio system in the car, but we will try that next time but I'd like to get your thoughts if possible.

That sounds like a strange issue. I would try changing the audio source and then switching back back to Blue tooth. You can try unhooking the battery for a few seconds then reconnecting. This will reset the ECU and can help with weird issues at times. When all else fails try taking to your local dealership and ask for a knowledgeable sales associate. You can also reference with Toyota on their customer hotline at 1800 331 4331 GOOD LUCK!

Beware Toyota in Cocoa tried to charge us $140 to do a software update which was NOT needed. Soft reset fixed my phone connection from continual breaks in conversations. Extremely grateful for your video!

My fix on a 2013 4runner today was to repair my new s22 ultra and when the pairing came up I denied the pairing for messages. Seems to work. My symptoms were connected for a few minutes, then message came up saying no Bluetooth available. Hope this helps.

I have two iPhones. I have both paired with the entune system in my 2016 Rav4. One of the phones will show the sms messages and the other doesn't. The primary phone is the one that accepts messages but when I change over to the other phone to make it the primary phone it doesn't work on sms messages. I am thinking that I can only have one phone to accept messages but my problem is why is it that only one phone will accept sms messaging. Seems like my other phone isn't compatible but it pairs OK, just won't accept messaging. Entune is pure garbage. I have to reset either of my 2 phone's each time my 2018 Tacoma starts to avoid music stuttering over Bluetooth. Everything else about entune sucks as well, looks, ease of use, functionality. For the love of jeebus give up and put Android Auto in your vehicles! You are not a tech company. You have failed. Yeah basically just delete all devices from the radio and remove Toyota from your phone. With no audio devices, your car radio will want to pair. I notice on my 2012 RAV4 and my 2016 Corolla that if you have your phone powered off when you start the car it won’t Bluetooth. I literally shut off the car and restart it to reconnect Bluetooth 🤦‍♂️

I just purchased a new 2021 Camry XSE and was told it has this capability I just followed your instructions and not working at all. Mine connects to the car but only works for music. During phone calls, you can't hear anything and just scratchy

Doesn’t work my remove button won’t work however that same bottom right area of the screen works just fine to press other buttons which happen to fall into that zone so it’s not the screen my Camry seems to pick and choose what I can and can’t do

I purchased the 2022 toyota corolla cross in Dec. I was very happy with the car until about 5 months later when one of the blue-tooth functions just stopped working. I can use my carplay for music & for the navigation, I can use the bluetooth for receiving & sending text messages & I can use the bluetooth to make calls, however, all of a sudden when I am on the phone & I use the touch screen or the button on the wheel the phone call or when someone else hangs up the phone will not disconnect. I have to go into my phone & turn off the bluetooth for it to disconnect the call. I paired my son's phone & it also does not work. I went to a local dealership location to see about this issue & they tried for 3 hours to update the software. Even after all that they said it still did not work. I was told from the service dept they would have to put in a ticket w/ toyota for a fix. I called Toyota several times to report this issue. Every time I was told we are working on it. I am now told that they can't & will not fix this issue. They said that it has to be a problem with my phone. They want me to uninstall all of my apps, texts & pic to see if that is the issue. I went to the samgung fix it & there is nothing wrong with the phone. Do you think this will work for my car?Thanks

Hey when I start the truck it auto plays my music files even after I removed my phone as a audio player only using it as a phone but when I shut off the truck and restart it my audio auto plays any help you can give? It's a 2019 Tacoma and a note 9

I know this is years old but what if when you click Bluetooth you get” Bluetooth is initializing please try and shortly” ? This started happening out of nowhere

So I have 2009 Toyota Highlander but my Contacts aren’t syncing with the phone and is not recognizing what am I doing wrong can you walk me through it I tried looking at the book and it’s totally confusing for me please thank you have a lovely day

How do you fix the error Bluetooth module not connected? It pops up randomly. The dealer has been no help I've used several devices and all they do is reset my car into the system. I would appreciate any advice you can give.
