How to fix BOOT FAILURE ENTERED UPDATE MODE on HELIX LINE 6

In this video, at first I really don't know what to do because there is no history yet on this kind of issue where the symptoms is after turning ON the power, (BOOT FAILURE ENTERED UPDATE MODE) appeared on the screen and got stock on this stage. I have not yet encountered it before. I tried to search in KZbin regarding this issue but suddenly it doesn't help. I did not stop finding a solution until I applied some combination buttons to pressed. Almost lost hope on this but luckily despite of my perseverance, I found out these two combinations buttons to entered the update mode and it works. I decided to film it and post in my KZbin Channel just to share this and to help other people with the same issue on their HELIX LINE 6 FLOOR POD.

Dear Allan, Thanks a lot for your perfect step by step tutorial, it helped a lot! Finally there´s one point that was different in my experience, so i want to add it, since it might help others users, if they have the same issue. my problem was, the line 6 updater would not recognize my Helix LT. i tried several usb cables as well as usb slots, it would not work (i have an i mac) finally i tried the whole procedere without pressing the F6 and F12 button on startup. i juat switched the power on and had the same error message as you in the beginning. the i connected the helix lt to my computer,launched the updater and taaaadaaa,: it worked perfectly. so this just as an add on to those who happen to have the same issue, that the computer does not recognize the helix. Hi, please check the DSP board if properly aligned also the cables, sometimes it gets misaligned or loose when the unit accidentally drops. But I would suggest sending it to an authorized service center.

Hello, about 6 months ago I bought a spider v 240, today in the morning I was putting together a preset with the amp connected to my phone with android and spider remote and it crashed. I turned it off and when I turned it on the screen turns on and it stays with the Line 6 logo, and in FBV 3 it says (01A Spider v Booting). @@thosepropertytwins I haven't tried it yet updating in offline mode. I think in offline mode, you must download first the firmware and save it on your PC. Once the local file prompts on the line6 updater you have to click on it and find the firmware which you have downloaded.

Hi, I have a helix floor with this problem: it loses the input signal, the signal goes in fits and starts, the symbol on the input display flashes red, then it starts working again for a while, sometimes it works for hours and then repeats the problem. Lately it also crashes, meaning the large display turns off and all the small displays start flashing. What could it be? I was thinking about the power supply, thanks for any response

Hello, thank you for watching ☺️ I haven't encountered such problem yet. Maybe you are correct, it could be the power supply based on the symptoms or bad connection between the adaptor connector and DC port of the unit, or loose connections from the inside of the unit.

Nothing works, absolutely nothing. I’ve followed all the steps and my computer can see the Helix, but HX EDIT and updater cannot. I can’t do anything if my helix can’t communicate with this shitty software that probably caused my computer to crash in the update.
