Hi Barb, in the first fix, why did you reverse mount the stitch? Is it because the piece is mosaic, or is that how you normally fix a knit stitch. I’ve never changed the mount. Thanks

Hi Barbara, thanks for this tutorial. I have a question, how do I fix a dropped stitch on a finished sock? The dropped stitch is on the foot of the sock.

If the sock is already finished there really isn't a way to "fix" it without pulling it out. What you can do is take some scrap yarn and essentially sew it in so it doesn't run. You will need a pretty long piece of yarn because you'll have to weave the ends in pretty far to make sure that it is secure - because you're not going to want a knot on the foot of your sock.

I would like to ask. If you could help with why, I can see the light color thru the dark color. My pattern is correct, but in the middle of a black square, you can see the white. It is my first mosaic attempt.

Without seeing it, it is tough to troubleshoot ... but my first guess would be that it's a gauge issue. If the fabric you are creating is relatively open then you will be able to see through it.

Yes can you please teach a mosaic dropped stitch a few rows down? On 2 color mosaic. Garter stitch is every second row to knit back One color is two rows first row is slipped stitches second row is garter back. If you realized you have an error a few rows back how do you figure out if it’s a slipped row or knitted row? One color is slipped w/ 0yib the other color is slipped with yif with a garter row in between. So say you need to go back four or more rowsoo9 back and it’s a written pattern. If it were charted it would be easier. How do you identify up where you have no chart as that would be easier going down

I will think on this, but I think it might be too complicated to do in a short form video. There are a lot of elements that go into this kind of repair and most of them are very situation dependent. Depending on how far down the mistake is ... sometimes the easiest fix is duplicate stitch.
