@@itzluiss9311 in my almost 20 years of having this issue, i fixed mine hundreds of times by- 1.remove/install Ram 2.remove/install Grafics card 3.switch to different Psu 4.switch hdmi cable/converter 5.If monitor can Display now, shake the cabinet a little to test it and if it Turns off right after u shake it, its the Mobo. 5.Sweat a lot, like a lot 😂😂😂

i just moved places temporarily and after resetting my pc back up i couldn’t work out why my monitor was not connecting to my PC. i talked to online support, the people who assembled my computer, i even bought a new monitor thinking maybe my old one was just failing. no one could give me an answer until i found this video and you mentioned making the sure the cable was connected to the graphics card instead of the motherboard. lo and behold the fix was as simple as switching where the display port was plugged. you just saved me so much more pain and i’m also suprised no one else could give me this answer.

No word of a lie this. I unplugged my old monitor and plugged in a new gaming monitor. No signal. I unplugged it and plugged in the old one. No signal. I started to wonder what was going on, I don't like it when my tech doesn't work. I tried all the usual things, plugging unplugging, then I used my device to try to find a solution. I found you on youtube on my device. Then I realised something. I had unplugged the hdmi, and plugged it back into my motherboard, rather than the graphics card. Your vid saved me. True story.

Perfect basic troubleshooting video. My friend shipped me a PC cross-country and it wouldn't start. I was very focused on the video card, but as this video points out, if the mouse/keyboard isn't being powered it may be a RAM issue. Turns out one of the sticks of RAM needed a very firm reseat. Did that and everything worked. Thanks very much!

None of this fixed my issue, but after a lot of time i may just have finally fixed it. The issue seems to have been the power supply air filter at the bottom of my case being clogged up with dust and somehow that may have been causing my power supply, that is at the bottom of my case and FAN FACE DOWN and had been intaking air through that dirty filter, to malfunction and cause the signal loss on the monitor. I just rolled over the power supply to fan face up to intake air from inside the case and havent had issues since. ALSO i remove the CMOS shorter from the cmos pins on the motherboard (The cmos shorter is a tiny tiny tool that is used on the cmos pins on the motherboard. Look online for more info)

You forgot one thing... Monitors and TV's have their own onboard processors of some sort or another these days. They lock up and turn inputs off and require a reset of some sort such as rebooting the PC or disconnecting and reconnecting the power cable before the HDMI input comes back to life. The joys of everything becoming computerized.

Sometimes my monitor displays perfectly fine and other times it doesn’t. My PC has power on issues where I can’t turn it on again as soon as it turns off but have to wait a while before I can do so. Could this be impacting the monitor? Is enough power getting to it?

Thank you for this. I thought my hdmi port went bad and was getting aggravated since I ruled out the cable and monitor being the problem with known good items. The problem was in fact operator error on my part as I plugged the cord into the wrong hdmi port on the computer itself. I was plugging into the motherboard one like you showed with the arrow instead of the graphics card one.

been having issues with my computer where it would crash and randomly turn off for months. when checking event viewer it said "kernel power failure".
