If you take out your battery and put the battery back in and restart the controller it usually will work if it gets stuck. This will at the least allow you to continue whatever you were doing while online

Plus this issue comes from getting the massage saying we got disconnected from rockstar servers. Controller battery isn’t going to fix an internet issue.

@@ckchatta369 It works for me if I pull the battery and place it back in the Xbox will pause and a notification to reconnect controller. It might not work in every instance but has saved me from exit of session and what I was doing if done immediately

This is only a temporary fix to be able to move again. Within 10 mins you’ll be frozen again. Also if your on a mission and freeze and do this method and finish the mission it won’t save from the point you froze. The only way to fix this is restart the app!

Huge tip, this still ain’t fixed, a big workaround is to ask rockstar to transfer your account to the last gen version of GTA

Yeah the bug happens in story mode as well. I had a bug to play V story mode in 60 fps ahead of the VI trailer. But, unfortunately with story mode. The "fix" freezes your game. No crash. Just a straight up freeze

Its kind of a 50/50 chance it really works for a long time without restarting the game. It'll usually unfreeze it and freeze again 15 minutes later or sometimes it'll work and not freeze again and then again on the other side I've seen it stay freeze.
