I never cared for weave because it was not for me. However, you are right that it is so nice when your stylist tells you how to care for your hair when wearing a weave and that is why I still have a head full of hair today. Very nice blending. I personally suffer with alopecia but not traction. Mines is hereditary. My grandmother aunts dad all the same. So what I do to mask mines. I do the comb over method for my edges like you did. AND I use topik or some colored edge control. Alot of stylist do not know how to mask whenever someone has problem areas. I appreciate you for taking the time to cover those spots. It makes you feel exposed when it's not covered correctly. And I appreciate you for being educated that not everyone with alopecia has it due to weaves.

Great job as per usual. Your are an amazing stylist! I too have a similar situation with traction alopecia. I definitely want to get my haircut because I want to start wearing my own hair and what to start a healthy hair journey. It's so difficult to do that because of where I live there are not many African American stylist here in North Dakota. But I have been doing the same thing that she has, wearing weaves and wigs but I am sick of it.

ASMR SheSoCold just do it I stop wearing box braids one year ago I installed braidlocs it is best decision I ever made for my hair I just woke up one day & decided I am not going to wear extensions anymore it took me about 3 months to talk to myself not to put extensions in my hair my follicles thank me our hair isn’t that hard to take care of just shampoo condition and keep the hair moisturize

ASMR SheSoCold I don’t have braids I have locs started my locs with plaits using my own hair I also don’t have edges my mom burnt all my edges off with a relaxer when I was twelve most of my life I wore headbands to cover it up I had microblading done to my scalp two years ago but with all that I stil took the extensions out & started wearing my hair sometimes I still wear headbands the rest of my hair has now grown enough to cover my edges now

i am so happy for her. My hair looks exactly like her before you started and I am lost. I dont know what to do. I had locs for 9 years and noticed my hairline diminishing. I cut them off this past summer and went to braids and now it just seems like my hairline is getting worse. I can actually put 4 fingers to my hairline and thats how much hair is gone on all sides. I am at a loss of what to do.
