How to fix, Dell Laptop not power on. Laptop Power On problem, PC Solution
For a laptop power supply problem and not turn on or shutdown or shut on then shutdown or freezing problem. We are trying all of power on issue on Laptop or PC. Here our experiment with Dell Latitude e7440 Laptop. After upgrading new RAM our laptop going to power off for permanently. RAM installing problem in laptop. Laptop are going down.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge and for your help. In less than 20 seconds, following your advice, my laptop was back working. Prior to that I had spent many hours and many many late nights doing internet searches trying to find the solution to why my power button was not working. The power button was dead but the laptop had been booting up automatically when the battery was inserted and also continually coming back on automatically when I switched it off. The laptop was also automatically booting to 'pre boot assesment' whenever I plugged the power cable in. I read many different (sometimes very technical) suggestions but none worked. Then I watched your video and tried your suggestion and the laptop button IMMEDIATELY became functional and started to work again, and the laptop stopped powering up automatically. Thanks again and I wish you every success.

This solution is only for one of the various problems which can occur. most common causes: irregular shutdowns (OS crashed) Dead CMOS battery. then a laptop has defaults everywhere (which - if an initial hard post can not store values safely - will also fail another time after shutdown, so the battery cell needs to be replaced to avoid starting up with nulls in the registers and like 1.1.1970 00:00 all the time). But there are also much more fault sources. Another common prob: SSD does not respond and even does not reset at hardware level. Then the unit will likely be kept stuck in the middle of the POST (for a longer time at least until it gives up and telling you that one component has failed)

I think this works for hp laptops as well. On my Asus when i hold the power button the power led goes off while i hold the power button. When i release it it goes on again. Faulty motherboard?

It worked on the Dell latitude 5330 although I didn’t have to remove the battery. Just unplug the power cord, press and hold power button then re-plug the power cord as you hold the power button.

@@kaminibhardwaj6273 If your pc, not physical damage/burn power IC then try... 1. Open battery and RAM 2. Clean RAM with an eraser. 3. Insert RAM 4. Long press power button wait 2 second 5. then insert power cable. If it does not work then maybe your PC power IC can't work properly
