I have been working on a buddy's Dodge Avenger for 3 weeks and I will NEVER buy a Chrysler product To may electric ⚡ problems The car has 142,000 miles and everything electrical is jacked up The front end is trash " needs everything " I was always a Chevy guy until I bought a 2008 Honda Ridgeline Now I'm a Honda guy I have the Ridgeline" 286,000 miles " still a great truck I have and 2009 Honda Accord with 198,000 miles great car " if people would STOP running in to it !" I also have a 2016 Honda Civic with 56,000 miles great car

Always pull negative off battery and you can even remove both poos and net. And touch together for few minutes then re attach terminals appropriately . That will prevent further warning lights and in some cases unnecessary work. I have an07 charger rat 5.7 street mod pro tuned .disconnecting battery b4 and work that requires pulling any sensors out.

No point in removing both battery cables, unless you want to clean both. Touching cables together and leaving power off may reset the current codes, however this is only clearing what the computer *knows* about any problems (including the sensor you are replacing and any other issues), it won't make any additional problems go away.

No, you start by going up front, in the fuse box, swap the 30A fuse for the ABS with the 30A fuse for the wipers. Start the car, and see if the light on the dash goes away. If that doesn't work, then you change the sensors

Put the OBD reader first to make sure that’s the problem you have

It is advisable that u scan first. One of the three issues could be responsible: ABS, speed sensor, and steering angle sensor (most especially when u tamper with steering balance during front suspension replacement without doing wheel alignment later)

It’s because not all OBD readers will read ABS codes. It has to be a special OBD ready. You can take it to a mechanic and they can check it or if you want you can purchase a OBD reader like the one I used on the video. The link is on the description

You have to take it to a mechanic so he can use a computer and read the code you have. He should check it for free. Then after he gives you the code you will know what’s wrong with it exactly

Antoni Lubbers I bought a code reader that does abs and it told me it was one of my speed sensors which was really easy to fix and cheap.

I replaced steering angle sensor, clock spring, and abs sensors all the way around, and ABS light, BAS light, and traction light still on...do I need to have the scan tool or odb reader to clear the lights now to make them goo off...because they did not go off by themselves after replacing all these parts.

The sensor will not fix the sound. Fix the wheel bearing first and see if the lights turn off and if the sound stopped too

Its a super easy temporary fix. You can go to the gas station and just put $10 gas. The light should go away for a while. Lol 😂

Oh wait. I thought you said “do you think worn brake pads cause the brake light” I never seen that bad brake pads turning on the traction control. Sorry. You might have another problem. But if your brake pads are bad just replace them and see if it worked. That job is usually cheap

Take it to a mechanic and have him reset the codes. And if they come back tell him to read the codes with the machine and see what’s wrong. He should do it for free

You need to go to autozone or your mechanic and tell him to read you the code to make sure what the problem is first. Because sometimes it can be another sensor or something wrong with the ABS module

hey Felix, what part of the country are you in, I am having the same problem on my 08 Charger, scanner says its left rear, same as you. But I am afraid of trying since I am in an area that gets a lot of snow and any sensors I have tried to pull of on other cars , the bolt always breaks off.

ronald gross i have the same issue and its the oil pump it happens when it doesent work no more ar first will not run but after its warm will, and shifts good and everything i thought it was trabs but trans is good they found my oil pump was bad..hope it helps

Only way Is with an OBD machine that reads ABS codes. Take it to a mechanic they should give you the code for free. Don’t pay them
