My apologies, the part is closer to $20, not $10...but still cheaper and A LOT easier than replacing a $50 motor! Thank you all for the support!

My '97 K1500 did the same thing for the first time today (in the rain, of course). I researched the symptoms, found it's a common problem, then found your video. I'll be changing that board after a quick trip to my local auto parts store tomorrow. Thanks for the help!

I looked around the internet for what my issue was (my wipers would always engage, but would turn off only after fiddling with the control, or randomly. My washer fluid also would no longer spray.) I think this was the best reference I could find, and having seen how dirty and busted my OEM panel was, no wonder it was finnicky. Subscribed!

I’m so happy I stumbled across this video this is exactly what is going on with my 98. I find it hilarious and relatable how you go to show the issue and it’s working, been there too, it only works on nice sunny days not for the rainstorms thanks for the fix will be testing it out this week.

I am glad you posted this video. I have a 1996 Chevy 1500 conversion van and I was told the motor needed to be replaced. I ordered the motor and while waiting on it to be delivered I started to work on accessing the motor. I couldn't get the wiper arms to come off the bolt after removing the nut. It looks like they are attached to a bar that the wiper motor is attached to which I decided was too big a job for me. I looked at this video again and decided I would look at the computer board to see if a problem. There were not any broken circuits but there was a lot of grease build up so I figured I would clean it off and see if that resolved the issue. They now work so I am hoping that fixed it. I will probably return the wiper motor for now which will save me some money for now.

This fixed my problems. I had only high wipers and washer spray when I got my truck. And you'd have to time when you turned em off to get I'm all the way down. My washer spray randomly stopped working. After a pump swap it still didn't work. Looked at the board and had a cap that was split in 2 and laying in the housing. After swapping the board everything is back to normal and all setting and spray work! Can't thank you enough for this tutorial.

One of the best videos I've relied on, with good clarity and great commentary. Working on a very nice 97 Silverado that was sitting 11 years with a few minor problems, like the wipers, transmission shif solinoid and fuel pump that I have addresses. Your video and explainations really helped me, rather than take out the motor and go from scratch blindly. Thank you! I subscribed.

Huge thanks brother! My 1998 Chevy Blazer's wipers started motion stuttering (stop/go), what seemed random. Then stopped working. So, I bought the Dorman pulse circuit board ($17) from Clark's Auto Parts. Installed, just like you showed, and wham-O! My wipers now work. I'm sure glad it wasn't the motor (which was my first thought)....again brother huge thanks! Stay healthy!

OMG!! Thank you so much. I imported my 98 CK to England last year. It belonged to my cousin in Iowa, so I knew the truck had been well looked after. The wipers stopped working yesterday. After lots of research and realising I would need to order from the U.S if need be, I came across your video. It was as simple as spraying on some contact cleaner on all points. It works fine now. Thank you again. I'll probably start collecting some of these parts next time I'm over there to bring back with me 👍

Thank You for taking the time to help others ! Thanks for posting the link to Amazon for the part. It was $18 and I replaced the board on my 1995 Chevy Silverado. It fixed the problem :) I have another problem with my Chevy, is the horn. It will blow sometimes when I turn the steering wheel. It is embarrassing. People would think I was honking my horn at them. I didn't know what to do, so I installed another horn and placed the button on the dash and disabled the regular horn by unplugging the relay. Would you be able to solve the problem with the steering wheel horn? Thanks !!!
