I refuse to believe this was recorded sometime after 2010. This feels so nostalgic 😂

My ex-Bf fixed one of my old pikes like this, and it was last year and they still don't show any signs of "fatigue" (I don't wear them everyday though). And when I asked him how he did it so I can fix another pair and he just told me "You put the glue on and put pressure on it for two days"... So now I know the truth !! This comment was so life-changing for everyone 😅 I'm so glad I shared that.

I love the "use your boyfriend's toothbrush" part! You're so funny which is why I watch your videos even though I never do any of the projects. 😁

Nice and toasty flames creepers. It's like the olde adage, light a man's fire and you can keep him warm for a night. Light a man on fire and you can keep him warm for the rest of his life. 🏴☠️🇺🇸🌯 🔥 🔥 🔥 Fuego video, no dead giveaways! Your rig is fully slammed on these my guy

If I had this vid when I lost my good pair of suede Creepers, I'd still have those Creepers. Thanks for the future reference 🥰

Quick question… instead of using the wood and clamp method can I just step into the shoe and apply pressure with my foot to seal the glue to the sole?
@reptil_diy Жыл бұрын
No, there needs to be even pressure applied for 48 hours until the glue is dry

@@reptil_diy- I 2nd this! Except I need something lightweight but funky punk/metal/goth/R’n’R (I’ll be 64 later this yr & refuse to look like a drone even tho I’ve got waist length silver hair😂) as I have recent [permanent] injuries so I can’t carry anything heavy & travel often. There’s a challenge for you as I can’t find anything big enough & still lightweight! Great vid tfs, been doing this for yrs & saved many a 50s stiletto, along w/ loads of boots! Jet 🧡🎸🎶⚡️ PS just subbed, funny how searching one thing loads you to a fab DIY channel😅

I make tons of belt pouches, that have a small strap on them so I can put them on whatever belt I want/move them around to fit the pants. They're super easy! Just make a little fabruc bag/box pretty much I can't think of how to explain making them rn so sorry

How do you know my biggest problem with boots? 😭 Nah i feel watched
@reptil_diy6 ай бұрын
Honestly it happens quite often especially with older boots/shoes. I just redid a pair of my own boots and a pair of work shoes.

It should work with no issues, I've repaired numerous boots and shoes using this method. Feel free to send me pics and we can troubleshoot it! My IG is reptil_kodiya

People should just stop buying Demonia boots and shoes, because they are crap and you shouldn't have to reglue them all of the time.
@reptil_diy Жыл бұрын
Demonia are far from the only brand of footwear that fall apart. I've seen Doc Martens, TUK, Grinders and Vans all fall apart. Just what happens. But I agree the quality of Demonia has gone down immensely since the mid 2000s though

@@reptil_diy Just about every alt shoe/boot company sucks these days. Even New Rock are making their boots with crap parts right now. They are using PU soles instead of rubber. The only boot brand I give props to right now is Angry Itch who are based in Germany/Poland. I have several pairs of their boots and they haven't given me any issues at all.

@@megmcguigan3857 I agree 100% It seems with the rise of alternative fashion becoming popular the quality has gone down so these companies maximize profits.

@@reptil_diy This is why doing DIY projects is so important these days. It is better to create your own clothes and look than buy cheap tat from 'dark alternative' clothing sites that are going to rip soon afterwards. I'm 52 and have been doing DIY projects since I was a teen in the 80's. It takes practice but is very rewarding.

@@megmcguigan3857 one of the main reasons I started this channel. I wanted to show newer generations how cheap and easy it is to make their own gear instead of supporting big business
