your nails are so beautiful! Everyone that does videos showing their hands, should follow this woman's example!!! great tutorial. Thank you

I was suspicious because obviously she's demonstrating her own product, but I ordered some to mend a suit with several moth holes and goddamn it actually worked really well for me. FYI the suit in question was a dark gray wool. Your milage may vary.

Did you get same product that she's showing? I got a hole in a dark gray suit as well.

Thank you. Though, it would have been great to actually see a nice close-up shot with a hold on it for a few seconds, at the end, to actually see how well it looks and works. That would have been really great and very helpful.

I was omw to buy my college student a new suit for a friend’s wedding when I came across this video. Hopefully this works to save his jacket. It’s certainly won’t mess it up. The only problem is the location is the at the shoulder & sleeve. 🤞🏽Thx for the video

I have a small moth hole on the back of a very expensive suit jacket. I took a piece of black electrical take and attacked it to the hole on the inside of the jacket. It works well enough to get trough a job interview.

Great video! A question: how will this repair work on the crease in a pair of trousers? Is the repair flexible enough for that area? Thanks!
@QuiltersGuide6 жыл бұрын
Are they wool? If they are loose fitting, It most likely will work just fine!

you used to much powder. Its always best to practice this technique on something you don't care about before working on something that may be expensive always work from the wrong side of the garment and don't forget to use a patch as that is what holds everything together. You may be able to start over by reheating the patch and while it is warm pull the whole repair off

It's great stuff. Been using it for years now. Thing is, sometimes I get a bit of shiny look on he front side. What am I doing wrong?
@QuiltersGuide Жыл бұрын
You have managed to get some powder on the front. Make sure that your sheet does not have any residue on it. It is sometimes easier to prefuse your patch that way the powder will be already melted to the patch and you won't have any excess powder on the garment

one question, i have moth tracks (not through and through holes) on a vintage pair of wool pants, your method wont work for me because its not a hole, i was thinking of filling in the tracks with fiber dust but will it work if i did the reverse, glued it on the outside since i cannot glue it from the back side?
@QuiltersGuide6 жыл бұрын
Kar, This kind of repair would be very difficult to do since it will be on the right side. You will not be able to make it invisible. Thank you
@karser64566 жыл бұрын
thanks for the quick reply, i think i have few options so i will try to fuse it on the outside with a thin layer of the fabric dust..btw what is the approximate price of this fusing agent ?

Beryl, my moth holes are on the sport coat sleeve, right above the wrist area. Do you have any suggestions on how to get to the holes to repair? Thanks for the video and I'm looking forward to trying.
@QuiltersGuide2 жыл бұрын
Assuming that the coat has a lining, you would either need to unpick the stitching or cut the lining so get to the wrong side of the fabric. This type of repair has to be done from the wrong side

Can you tell me: are you leaving the small patch of fabric on after ironing? Is it stuck to the fabric by melted BoNash?
@QuiltersGuide6 жыл бұрын
Vicky, yes the small patch stays there after Ironing. The powder melts and bonds the fabric together.

@@kr3642 I think you probably used the wrong technique I would have gone with the repair for a rip rather than a hole and then maybe used some fill fiber after that if needed
