TikTok is way ahead of them already, they’ve set up a verification system that if they’re suspect your a bot you have to complete a 10 second verification test and you can continue. But that's not the reason why. I haven't done anything bot-like. And, if it was actually restricting me for that reason, why does it only pop up when I try to follow certain accounts. It's not ALL accounts. Just every once in a while, I try to follow an account, and this pops up. It will not let me follow. But I can follow other accounts without issue. So it's not because of a restriction, otherwise I wouldn't be able to follow anyone. Not just a select few accounts. It makes no sense. One of them is even a friend of mine I actually know in person. And IG won't let me follow them.

It's also due to people reporting your comments as spam. I've been hit with these 24hr restrictions about 5-6 times within 3 months. And not a single comment of mine went against community guidelines. It's basically the copyright strike here on YT, but for IG. The last restriction I received was for a comment where the OP reported my comment as spam when it was literally just a comment with tips/advice on graphic design. Apparently the OP didn't like constructive criticism (I wasn't mean or anything) and reported it as spam. Then I was restricted for 24 hours. So, while it can be for performing bot-like moves, it's not always that. But you also do say, "It's mainly for this" so you kind of covered that, just not with specifics.

yes, too many creators make videos without fact checking but get buthurt if you correct them in the comments. For example: I comment saying the movie they are talking about came out in 2002 and not in 2005 and the creator just reports you as spam. LOL

Useless. This does not address if you have not been doing any bot like activity and you have had your account for a long time. IG just restricts you for no reason. Then what do you do? So frustrating!
