I had that same half light problem. Now it's all over and I have a full black screen now. It's keep getting dimmer so can it brighten up somehow without buying a new screen? I try a new screen and it works. But the method that you use will it also work?

Hi, it depends on what cause the half black screen problem, and you can check the problem by measure the motherboard, if you replace a new screen, the problem fixed, it shows that your half screen problem is not caused by the motherboard failure, so you won't need to check the motherboard

I wonder the reason why the screen stop working..... maybe it's because I change battery too often, turning the phone off and on too often... or playing heavy games for long periods
