if its that deep with white marks its not possible to wet sand it out or polish it. also with it being that deep and using that level of sanding you would say by to the clear coat along with a layer of paint.

you showed nothing, what products exactly and a follow up video after few washes?
@majikhandz5456 жыл бұрын
Everybody wants to be a Painter. Only positive comment I will give is at least you stated "if it's scratched through to the base or metal, it will be a temporary fix" Not like the rest of the Wet Sand and Polish Hero's.

N00b Tip: ALWAYS use a clean micro fiber cloth to wipe off excess compound between rubbing/polishing. Using anything else will leave a hazy/ugly finish. This is especially important for black cars.
@carlosvalencia82645 жыл бұрын
I mean the video was okay. I wish you would have showed more product use. And there is a part that immediately jumps from buffing to the result. So how long did it take to work it in? And what products ? You mentioned apply wax as well. I think it could have been more informative.

is the white showing not the primer under the clear coat and black paint?
@rajanawaz81266 жыл бұрын
Scratches are still their but not heavily noticeable like before. He's used black clay and black colour magic wax to hide the scratches. Also it's late in the evening which is why the scratches are not visible.

Mike, are you serious! You scared me to death when you first started the process but then by the end, you're the hero! Thanks for pointing out the buffer you used. I assume the rubbing compound could be any brand, but it would be nice to know your preference. Thanks for this video. ( Dang! wish you lived next door.) :)

Hey Mike, this actually looks so damn good i almost can't believe it. Think i will go into a little side job business of removing these idiots keymarks from other peoples cars. Hey anyways i used a machine like that in the sunlight on a oxidized black car. Afterwards it was very dull and crappy. Can i wetsand and use these products to bring back color and shine you think? Thanks alot if you can respond back.

Nice job, I got a long scratch on my grand cherokee doing some off roading and i only have a orbital polisher not a Whole lot of power would we be ok to use with this process, and when you do a good wash on the car is the area that was wet sanded going to be obvious again until waxed?

Hold on, you removed the entirety of the clear coat with the sandpaper in the first step then smudged the base coat with polish to fill in the scratch and then apply wax? Without a clear coat that will not last more than a few weeks. Also, wax doesn't provide the UV protection a clear coat does so in short order the site of the repair will start to look awful.
@510Redneck9 жыл бұрын
+Tamás Madarász If you notice he didn't sand through the clear coat, you can tell by the white-ish slurry.. if he had reached the basecoat it would have been black-ish which I'm sure he knows not to do. You can really knock down quite a bit of clear on a factory dimple finish before ever coming close to reaching the base if you watch what you are doing... the only downfall to doing so is that its more likely to get stone chips on the new found flat surface created (even though it looks better flat). Other than that you are correct with your comment if he really had done so. Peace
