May I add another fix to your list? If you notice your phone is glitchy when using certain apps more than others go into your play store apps and see if there are any updates available for those specific apps. I'd check that before restarting your phone and definitely before doing a factory reset. (I have my automatic updates turned off because I prefer to do them manually when I am ready to deal with the changes that often accompany them.)

I recently got my screen replaced. Same screen, Samsung original display. But ever since I got it I've been having issues with the refresh rate. Only with certain apps tho. hello if my phone was lagging before an update and is still lagging after the update...is the lag because of the update? I noticed a lag when any sort of video played and with voice notes on Whatsapp. and I saw there was an update so I did it thinking it would fix the problem. after the update i charged it for a couple hours and then it seemed fine for the rest of the day. but again since this morning, its just gotten really laggy....no videos from anywhere - I mean Instagram, KZbin even offline vids in my gallery- can play all the way through without pausing a thousand times. voice notes on Whatsapp are impossible....the rest of the phone seems only a tiny bit laggy...but these are my main issues. friend says it's just the update and I should just wait a couple days. should I just hard reset the phone? it's a OnePlus 9r btw. the update was to OxygenOS 13

I don't have this feature. My phone is slightly older. But I turned off automatic phone updates and it seemed to help. That's pretty unbelievable since I have been trying to delete apps and games and restarting my phone for months. Not sure how I figured that out. Hope this helps!

Only if you do a factory reset will something like that happen. A regular restart is just like rebooting your computer. Turning it off for a few seconds and then turning it back on usually fixes the bugs that are causing your phone to lag.

I have an old j3 that i just watch anime on but it was fine until recently. Its connected to my wifi that is fiber and quick. Issues only started about 2 weeks ago. Never did an update lol. I fixed these phones for a living for the last seven or eight years and there's no legitimate reason for all the bloat and old apps should work just fine on old phones if Google wasn't interfering with everything and hogging up all the resources. Ask yourself why you can't even force close most system apps anymore and why more and more system apps are Google Apps you can't take ownership of and control
