This is very common for 1911' s. I had 3 of them and all mags tend to leak air. The remedy is to use a blob of silicone grease on c02 tip instead of pellgun oil. The thickness prevented air escaping and works all time for me.

Thank you! I freaked out when I found out you’re not supposed to leave the cartridge in the magazine for more than a 2-3 days or the magazine will start to leak! I freaked out because I left the cartridge in the magazine for almost a week in my limited edition gun. Now I know how to fix the magazine if I find out it is leaking in the future.

Holding them in the magazine for a long time is not so good, but the seal in the video should fix the problem 😊

Took a solid 4 co2 canister leaks for me to realize that it was actually leaking, thought I just somehow forgot how to tighten it, thank you for this helpful guide!

When I shoot the gun it leaks the entire cartridge in a second but everything seems fine in the mag so I'm not sure what's wrong

Ahhh .... 1) nice idea if you used a Screw Driver with the RIGHT SIZED BLADE!! So it reaches across BOTH SIDES of the Valve Notches!! 2) ALWAYS USE A SILICON LUBE ON THE SEAL (put a DROP on the C02 Caplet End) BEFORE putting it in the Magazine!!! Everyone should know this!! Non-detergent Transmission Oil (a silicon based oil) is a good substitute!

I know this is an older video but it gave me some direction i have an issue with me DSPM crosman full auto magazine it started to leak because the c02 cartridge was left in it too long . So when i tried to remove the gasket i broke the piercer now i need to replace that along with the seals. where can i buy that part plus the c02 seals for the magazine ? and what size am i looking for ? thanks again i am now a subscriber cheers

I liked the thing about using a empty Co2 capsule for the first time to help with the seal, I wish I had watched this beefore i wasted sevral C02 bulbs in a new replacement magazine which I got today. I got thhat to replace the previous one which had leaks from day 1 I was begining to think there was a fault with the magazine, especially when i had the same problem today with a brand new one, i now think its becuase it is new the seal hasnt worn in yet to fit the neck of the Co2 and I was being overly cautious about over ightening it. Fotr soem reason all my other airguns I hear a faint hiss and i know that itss punctured but woith this i was tightening it and it gfely like it should have pierced it but I did not hear anmy hiss then suddenly it just all started hissing out bat once, i tried to tighten it and it just emptied thee capsule, I was worrtied that probably damged the brand new seal, I tried again same thjing happened, my threid try i just tightened it more than i felt comfrtobale and the gas stopped leaking and the gun worked as it should so i think its ok now, using the empty capsule is a good idea and i think if i had known that i could have saved those other co2s and potential damage to the seal.

I don't know what pistol you have but google find alot when searching for airsoft piercer pistol, This is also a piercer you can search for "KJW KP-13 Part No. 73 + 73-5 - CO2"

@GoodMods thanks for the reply. I have a couple of pistols that I'm trying make more reliable, an Elite Force H8R Gen 2 and a HK USP non blowback. The problem with the H8R is the ring that threads onto the piercer valve that holds the seal is made of really soft metal. I've had 2 that deformed and blew out. My idea was to try and find a replacement piercer setup that's more durable. The HK magazines keep leaking from the output valve, so I think I just need to upgrade the o-rings.

Hi😁 I have the crosman pfam9b And it was leaking out all the co2 from the top. I took out the thing from the inside of the mag but it has no seal. Are these mags diferent???

I'm having an issue whee the co2 is spraying out the top. I tightened the valve but I haven't replaced it yet What do you recommend I do replace the valve and then see from there?

You should replace your valve. But, compare it with the cost of a new mag. Sometimes it's just better to replace the whole magazine and throw the old one away 😉

A very informative video l wish l had seen it earlier as I'm new to co2 guns, l currently have 2 waiting to be repaired with new seals at a gun shop it's been 3 weeks now and still they're not ready, both were meant to be brand new one from the gun shop itself but they both leaked gas one after 4 days the one from the gun shop after only 2 days but l believe that's gone back to the maker . Both guns had co2 cartridges in when l bought them, l think they had been used to demonstrate the cartridges and they had been left in a long time in the display counter. Now l have saved this video l shall send off for spare seals and replace them myself when next they break, l also bought 2 brand new guns from a different shop they are a fortnight old now and used many times with no problems touch wood, the colt 45 SAA Peacemaker l got has been giving me around 130 shots to a cartridge, the magnum 44 l got only 70 but is more powerful for some reason it rips cans to pieces and even drove a pellet 177 into a brick to full depth of the pellet it also gives off a louder crack when fired. Well thanks for the video it's the best I've seen for info with no silliness in between.

Is it a magazine capsule system or inside your gun ? If it is a magazine system, I think you have a bad valve instead of a piercer problem.. If you want you can sent pictures to [e-mail] I will look at it but I think the best way is to buy a whole new magazine mate

I have air leaking out when I rapid fire, you shoot about 5 rounds then it just empties the cartridge, I have checked the valve and it looks ok but I cannot get the piercer undone to check that seal, it is an imitation magazine so no side windows and can’t get a screwdriver to grip on it, any ideas?

Does it leak air when youre not shooting? Try to listen for leaks.. Otherwise I think its because you are rapid firing and your mechanism cannot handle it.

It’s a co2 pistol and I just removed the orange tip

@@GoodMods Well I think it’s because I took the orange tip off because right after I did that and put a CO2 tank in, I hear a loud hissing and it stopped when I put my finger over the barrel… There’s a small gap between the barrel and the outside of the gun where the orange tip used to be
