Thanks for the LED Keeper video. This was very helpful. I've been starting to repair my lights now.

I am finding a lot of the bulbs are getting pushed out half way from the socket with ice and just need to be pushed back in place but some do have the small wire broken off from the bulb as you showed in the video . thanks .

When your testing the string that is out. Do any of them light? Some leds sets have transformers and the transformer do go bad. When that happens they are trash. Start from the first light that is not working. With the led keeper plugged into the set. Does it light? If so move on to the next and so forth. If none of them light then the set is trash. Hope this helps out? I have fixed many sets with the tool.

I’m with you. They don’t make these lights to last, because (understandably) profit is their goal, and they’d rather people buy replacements every year, rather than not. Even successful repairs can take up time, which is often a finite commodity for many of us. I keep some “non-working” strings for replacement purpose’s, and try to do repairs long before Christmas. But yes, it’s very frustrating if the repair does not go well.
