Sounds great :) - The other place where the portlight can leak is by the foam seal around in the sides, I have also made a video about it kzbin.info/www/bejne/mmaQk2qaqr-Woas

Hey Tino, I really enjoy your videos! Keep them coming :-) Greetings from Kiel Jan

Thanks Jan. Hope to find some solutions to the many mysterious problems many people have on there boats. There is very litle information out there how to fix lewmar portlights without just switching to a new rubber seal. A new seal costs about 60 US dollars.

Hi Tino! I want my portlight acrylic glasses to be as transparent as the first day. Yours are like so. How can I provide transparency for them? Wax and polish can work?

If you give the aluminium catches at the bottom a few light taps with a small hammer, the catches will grip tighten.

Great informative videosTino. I enjoy watching and learning from your videos. Great tips too. I have a quick question: i have a volvo Penta 2030 and am getting oil leak right from the bottom of the engine, dripping into the holding bilge. Ido you think it is easily fixable without having to get an engineer out? Thanks. Emre
@twiper7 жыл бұрын
Thanks :) It depends on where the oil is leaking from, but I know a normal fault is when people fill to much oil on the engine and it will leak, you must not fill over the MAX on the dipstick.But I think a good place to start is to locate the leak, maybe it is a easy fix.

@@twiper Thanks a lot for that! I ll try it but the thing is i cant find TEC 7 sealant around , maybe sicaflex?
@twiper5 жыл бұрын
@@ΗΛΙΑΣΚΑΝΤΖΟΣ I know the Tec7 is only available in some countries and sometime also hard to find in Denmark europe. Tec7 is a special product so I don't know if sikaflex can do the job. You need something there can bond rubber and aluminium, maybe loctite or 3M has something useable. I'll try to find something similar to Tec7 and let you know 😊
