Great video - you earned a new sub - thx so much - I have a TPB where the spine is open and I would love to see the bunches realigned and reflues to the spine… do you have any video on that ?

I do a a video where I remove the cover of a TPB and put HCs on to convert it. I’m not sure the TPB cover would come off clean enough or in-warped enough to be able to fix the block and then reglue it. It might be possible, though, and now I want to try that! Hmmm… next project to try?🤔

Hi, thank you for this video, I have one more question. Is it normal for the pages of my books, whether they have 200 pages or an omnibus of 1500 pages, to have slightly wavy pages? Should I be concerned about this, and what causes it? When I run my finger over the page, it feels a bit bumpy. And when I look on top of the book, you can also see the wavy pattern. Thank you in advance!

I would probably say it’s from humidity. I’ve noticed it affects some paper more so than others. Usually the glossy pages tend to do this for me. Last summer when we were In 90-100% humidity almost all season long, all my books were doing this. Since I moved them all to a dryer environment and using dehumidifier I have eliminated the problem almost completely.

Yep! As @bcash1994 said, that’s more than likely humidity and if you place a dehumidifier in the room the pages should mostly straighten back out after a week or two! But yeah, nothing to worry about. It’s especially prevent in these giant books with thin pages and a LOT of ink.
