Little tip for anyone struggle.... Angle the needle so the point is away from the cable end, push it in then flick to the opposite side, the point really gets under the pin that way. Hope that made sense to someone! Also thanks to the creator of this vid 👌👌👌

in my case the charging port connection broke the pins off , so i cut off the charger cord USB connection to expose the wires then took the red wire and black wires and popped them through the holes in 2 of the four pins where the battery connects to the phone ,it is difficult to feed the wires through the hole in the pins but its very worth it ,make sure they are connected to the correct pins red wire is + / black wire is -- , the battery will show you wich pins they connect to because on the battery it has + and -- above the battery terminals, my battery was on zero charge as soon as i wired the phone up like this it was 100 percent,👍
