This is for people that took the first step, bought a Shark and would like some advice on how to maintain it. Judging by the comments on other similar videos I have made on different brands, people are very grateful for the help.

What a perfectly timed video! Moving Monday so loaded KZbin to look up how to thoroughly clean my stratos so I can do the full clean with hoover at it’s best! And here you are with a brand new video exactly what I needed!!!

My hepa filter still isn’t dry after almost two days!! I even left it out today in the sun! I’m hoping it’s dry by Tuesday as I have to do my end of tenancy clean 😂

The felt filter that came with my Shark had no tabs sewn into it, the off brand ones I bought did and were better quality. 😅

Meanwhile my 15 year old Hoover Windtunnel only requires a bag change every 3 months and occasionally changing the belt and wiping down the inside of the base occasionally.

My navigator 360, half off at Walmart 3 years ago $99 has been great but I do maintain my machines well. My last 3 cordless Dyson's have been trouble, very worrisome as my first two are still going fine 🤔. Nice video

13:06 the reason why they say never to use detergent is because detergent leaves residue behind which makes it sticky which clogs the pores of the sponge and attracts dirt. if you are going to clean the filters use a biological non detergent cleaner like simple green outdoor/pet and use hot distilled water. the minerals in tap water can also clog up a filter.

My ICZ300UKT head stopped working this week. Lights on, when reclining it briefly spins but then stops and lights out. Back in upright the same happens and lights on. Checking all connections etc and couldn't see a problem. Happens even with the handle directly into the floor head. Obviously a loose connection or something (?dodgy microswitch in reclining part) in the floor head. Did Shark customer care (via video on my phone). They are sending me an entire new vacuum! Not good for environment but amazing customer service. I was just going to buy a new head at £69.99 but this is even better. P.S. It is 3 years old.

I had the same problem with my Navigator. There was a wire pinched in the swivel neck and the connector terminal was dirty. Fixed the wire and bundled it better and then cleaned the terminal connection and it's all good now.

What a poorly designed vacuum. That upside down single cyclone is barely doing anything, all the dust gets sucked right into the filters. Can't believe these are as popular as they are.

Personally I would use a vintage Electrolux or Kirby than this disposable Shark. Worse, they can be expensive. Bagged vacuums are the best!

There is no such brand. If you mean Bennett Read, then no, I won’t be trying this vacuum as it doesn’t seem to be available in the UK. Looking at their website, it seams that they just take widely available unbranded Chinese made vacuums and stick their brand name on them.

I have bought many brand new Sharks and this always baffles me. They work great for 5-6 months and then the performance just dies out completely and they stop picking up as good. Filters are perfectly clean, no clogs, no obstructions. I just don't understand it. It acts as if there's a suction valve stuck open somewhere but I never got that far at investigating. Also Sharks are not bad vacuums, zoomers really need to stop with the anti-Shark propaganda. It doesn't make you cool, it just makes you look stupid. I have 15 Sharks all bought as salvage or refurbished, and they have all been great vacuums. The fluffy roller models are invaluable when you have hardwood floors and that roller also generates static electricity, which is never advertised, which grabs dirt from between the grooves on unsealed floors. I have had no issues fixing them either. Each model has their pros and cons just like any other brand.
@TommyCullen-VacuumConnisour4 ай бұрын
you are ignorant if you think sharks are good. "anti shark propaganda"😂a vacuum should last for longer performance wise than 6 months, i have had a few of them that have been used and they let dust into the motor which is why they kill themselves, this happens because it clogs up the hepa exhaust filter very quickley and overheats the motor, because you cannot wash hepa filters you have to replace them. and naturally of course nobody ever does. but even if you replace the filter the sound deadaning fills up with dust which is something that you cannot replace unless you are prepaired to fully dissasemble the machine. also it is not just zoomers that dislike them, people that repair and are mechanically capable hate them because they are the disposable lighter of the vacuum world and are made to break, not to mention their warranty scams. stop worshipping a terrible vacuum brand. Edit: didn't mean to come across as rude there, no malice. you just seem to not understand why people dislike them, if you like yours then that's fine, it is just a vacuum at the end of the day lol

@@TommyCullen-VacuumConnisour Thank you for proving my point. Like I said, stop being an ignorant cringey zoomer and use them for yourself. All you are doing - like every kid does now - is parrot some influencer's opinion because you do not possess an IQ high enough to understand free thought. You have zero brain activity. I repair my own vacuums and I don't need some little kid that thinks they know everything trying to tell me what they think they know, when in fact you don't know anything at all because you have zero experience or knowledge about anything, and never will.

I don't think telling people to be more careful with what they spend their hard earned money on is really "propaganda." If a product is bad it should be called out as so, that's the only way things change. There are considerably better models to buy within the price range. There's nothing wrong with knowing the flaws on machines and still enjoying using them. I call out bad products from companies I like in hopes that they improve. It's not "propaganda" lol. There is no reason to insult people who disagree with you. I enjoy my Hoover Convertible 707 and Kirby G3 probably more than anything. But I'm not going to tell my friend in need of a machine to buy one just because I enjoy them so much. I would tell them to look at something like a Hoover Tempo on a budget or a Sebo Felix for a long term buy.
