I just googled "how to fix water pressure in my sink" and your video popped right up. I had already tried turning the water valves, since I recently replaced my sink hose. By following your easy instructions, I fixed it! My husband was more of the "fix-it guy" at our house, and it has been my role since he passed away. Every contractor I've used since has disappeared halfway or ripped me off; I'm not knowledgeable and stupid-nice, so I try do as much as I can by myself. Thank goodness for videos like yours that can make a beginner like me learn how to do this myself! Thank you so much for uploading this video 2 years ago! You made a difference today!

Mike, thanks for this helpful video. But I would like to point out that the other 2 primary causes for low water pressure are due to calcification or lime deposits in the water line connection points under the sink and the same deposit build-up in the valve stems just below the valve handles. If someone tries the fix you've shown and still has low water pressure, then these other 2 points should be inspected. Most kitchen, bath & other sink faucets all have plastic valves stems. Many water lines also have plastic seals. Both of these are magnets for calcium & lime deposits to start building up. I've often had to remove the valve stems & seen these large deposits. The deposits can be removed by soaking the valve stems OR water line connections in either CLR or vinegar. CLR, a mild acid works faster than vinegar. Maybe you can do a video showing people how easy it is to remove the faucet handle valve stems and/or water lines. Both can be done with an adjustable Cresent wrench that opens to at least 1.5 to 2 inches. Thanks for this video & the opportunity to add some helpful advice. Best2U Always

You also could have just soaked your aerator in CLR or vinegar for 2 hours. Some new aerators for the brand name faucets can cost from $10 to $15+. All the deposits will dissolve when soaked in CLR or vinegar and rinsed thoroughly.

I just installed a new faucet in my bathroom sink. And I’ve got the same problem with water pressure. I tested all the valves and the water flow before the faucet was connected and I had plenty of pressure. Now that I have put the faucet back on and connected everything I’m getting the same kind of water pressure as you were in this video. So I took the aerator out and check that and remember this is a brand new faucet and I still got low flow. I really like this faucet the design and everything and the way it looks with my new vanity but I’m pulling my hair out trying to figure out what is causing low flow on this faucet. It is not designed to be low flow. And the unit itself has really good reviews online where I purchased it from. please give me other possibilities. Thx.
@MikeKlimek2 жыл бұрын
So you tested the water pressure before the faucet was installed and all is good. Your problem certainly lies with the faucet, and if not the aerator, then it's the cartridges in the faucet. Low pressure in hot or cold side? Replace that cartridge. Low pressure in both hot and cold then replace the faucet
@lenac35872 жыл бұрын
Love the cool hack with the towel trick. I never understand why the filter is needed where you later wash the debris down the sink to unclog the faucet. I have removed mine
@tmahmud64472 жыл бұрын
Yes removing the filter which has,very small holes is a good idea so won't clog up easily in the future .....however the filter is there for a purpose to prevent small particles in the water when you are washing up ....but I guess you can live with that
