I think mine is bad. Got it and haven’t played it much but now dealing with AC and then half life alyx is when trying to turn the camera on my right controller it jumps me ahead and snaps instead. Does that sound right?

Wow, this works great! I just squirted the contact cleaner into a small bowl, picked it up with a dropper and dropped a few drops into the joystick area.

I recently bought quest 3. I noticed that something was rattling under the thumbstick of the right controller. I thought it was a spring, but when I disassembled it, it didn't come true. Wondering who has encountered this, and if there is a way to fix it. p.s. this was also noticed on quest 2.

No. Mine didn't work. It was very clean inside. When I move it slightly down and to the right. The joystick makes a little clink like a spring, or like when you slightly bend a soda can and it gives that little pop noise. It's so barely noticeable. I wouldn't have even noticed if the room I'm in wasn't dead quiet and holding my ear up to it to listen. Easy tutorial, great work. I will also say I was fairly easily able to instantly get it open with a Lego separator

Once i set the cap on, the sensitivity spring on the left of the buttons stays in contact with the controller cap and it thinks that im holding my finger there, it does not give issues but it’s frustrating to see can someone help how to fix it ?

In most cases its not debris, its wear and tear on the components thats the cause, especially if you have hundreds of hours of use on the controller. This cleaning method only temporarily relieves the problem. It will keep coming back. The only permanent solution is to install a replacement thumbstick assembly or get a new controller.

expensive af headset with the latest tech, no dust prevention for joystick... my 5-6 yo steam controller joystick still works flawlessly today and I use it a lot, leave it in the open collecting dust etc and not a single problem. bought quest 3 6 months ago and having drift for the past month too scared to break it trying this...

I had a good controller for a few months, but then it broke down and i used my warrenty to replace the controllers, 3 times in a row iv had to return to bestbuy to replace controllers that had stick drift straight out of the [CENSOR] box, i refuse to go again so i hope this video works

Well, I think it's better to send your quest for replacement, quest 3 is not even year old, so everyone should still have warranty. At least in Europe with 2 years warranty standard.

Hey guys, so I had the problem that the stick on my right controller was "stuck on the left and right side. (If I moved to the top or bottom the stick would go back in the middle but if I moved it to the left or right it would stay there until I moved it to the middle again) I didn't have anything to blow or suck any stuff out of there so I did the same as Tricks Tips Fix and after that it worked perfectly fine again. (The issue was caused by punshing into my other hand). I hope this comment helps anyone in need and if you have further questions I'd be happy to help. Have a great day!

WARNING: Those white rectangles you see around the controller are small chips placed on a black tape (I have no idea what their purpose is). The tape itself on those rectangle extrusions that have the chips on them are not stuck to the controller. So if you take a thin tool, like I did with a guitar pick, and force it inside the tape could be turned backwards and torn apart! Needless to say you shouldn't do this. Thankfully I only bend them on my controller and by bending them back in their place it works just fine. Use a hard plastic tool like he did, work around the edge and not deep inside and above all take your time. The adhesive is very tough to come unstuck.
