Planet Strength Go to the back of your ps4 controller and you will see a little hole and poke the toothpick in there for about 10 seconds and it should reset the controller

Holy shit this worked on my controller. I’ve had it not working for about 3 weeks. I plugged In my headset mic in the controller port and it would not do the little pop that it usually does. It would just go in and I could hear with the headphones but my mic would not work. After this video I tried to toothpick method and banged it for about 10 seconds and plugged in my mic, it worked like a charm. Thank you so much!!!

Some cutting noises on headsets are because of mics? I took the mic from my headset i play alone and sometimes i hear cutting noises or buzzing sounds.. Those sounds like when you plug headset on the jack... For a short time while i'm playing... Like i said sometimes happens

you should most definately try the update first and if it doesnt work then move on to the physical damage. Because it might just be the firmware and if you try messing with it physical you might actually break somthing.
