I really don’t understand this awful app, I can’t use UKG or outlook for work. It tells me to input a number on the authenticator but there’s no prompt box that pops up for me to put the number in.. I deleted the account on the authenticator and signed in again and now it wants me to enter a number again with no pop up prompt on its own app. It makes no sense I’m in a continuous loop getting nowhere

Think iv figured it out… if you click sign in with a different account. Then type ur email address and password in manually. For some reason it just logs you in to your emails again.

I’m also stuck in the loop.. If I somehow try to login with password, it again asks me to approve sign in request on microsoft authenticator app after signing in with my password..

What a nightmare. It demands a code to install it but it can't generate the code until it's installed.

I had the same problem and here is what I did to fix it: -Had to go on outlook and go on my profile -Go on security and confidentiality (Sorry mine is in french so idk how it's written for you) -Then you go on security information -Here you can add a new way for you to connect in your account. Put your number and ask for text. -After this is set up, just look up to all that there is a word in blue in french it is "change" but for you maybe it is not. -You choose your number as the way to connect. -After all that you go to microsoft authentificator and say that you can't use the app, it will ask for another way and thats where you can go through with your number. -After that everything follows. I hope it helps and if you don't understand tell me.

If you're stuck in a loop where you get a code, but you are not able to put it in Microsoft Authenticator here's what helped me (on my mobile phone). 1. On another device, log into mysignins from Microsoft with your school/work email and password. 2. Go to security info. 3. Here you will have an overview of the MFA approved devices. On the tile where it displayed my phone " Phone X ", I pressed delete. 4. On my mobile phone I opened the Microsoft Authenticator app. It will now tell you there is no email registered. 5. Re-add your details and follow the app's instructions. I hope this helps! ❤️

Good video, but I feel like checking for an app software update skills be one of the forest things that July recommended, or at least before needing logout of your account and then reconnect it back to the Authentication app

I have tried everything and i cannot find a single way to find a 6 digit code to any of the apps that i set 2 step verification for. Customer service told me to screw myself. Dont use microsoft authenticator period.

Problem solved! Hey guys, someone said to me to check old phone, which is still being used by my little bro, and i have realized that initially that App was installed to this phone. An next devices you are trying to install the app will be as ''second" device. All we need is that fking verification code in old phone/device, it works!!!

I hate this program. I run into trouble with it ALL of the time. Every major company or school tends to use it. I get it, security is a concern, but it's quite frankly overboard at this point. Whenever I run into problems with authenticator, I'm easily spending a day or two with the IT team trying to bypass it, rather than working.

@@deblynn091 my solution was to go and disable the two factor authentication (or any other secondary authentication protocol) directly from my service provider. The service provider was the site from which I buy website domains and Microsoft emails. It worked for me.
