Omg definitely worked for me!! I swapped the rollers, wiped them with anti grease wipes (kind of like Goof Off) then put them back together! After that my disc drive worked again! Before it would have difficulty taking in discs and ejecting them out! But now after about 8 test runs it completely works again! This trouble shooting technique definitely works for me!! Thank you for sharing this tutorial!

I had the exact problem, my issue was the rollers were so old they dried out and didn't grab the disc so I had to buy a new drive, This tutorial saved me so much more money, thank you for this! If I should ever meet you in person I'll buy you a pint!

Yo, which disc drive can I use for CUH-1216B? Does it need to be specific model or it can use drives from like 1216A, 1215A/B?
