The massage part: it's probably due to internal connectors. Doing that you probably put back/move/seat back them again. It's not magic 😂

My phone was not charging. As you suggested, what helped was turning it off, then turning it on, and while it is in the Android booting stage, holding down the volume button and the screen lock button to enter Fastboot mode. Then it started to charge. Thanks !
