Your suggestions worked like a charm!!!! Recently purchased a Roku 4K streaming set up to replace an Xfinity cable box (for $10.99/mo savings). Every time I turned the TV on using the Roku remote, the 1080 p bar would appear with and a message stating no signal detected. The only way I could get it to work was by unplugging and replugging in the power supply! NOTE: A power bar is used for plug in. It is totally working after going through the other steps. Thank you so VERY MUCH! My hero! UPDATE: Started to have the same problems again, getting the no signal detected message, and having to unplug and replug in the Roku. Simple fix. when the not connected message appears, press the home button (upper right on the control). It works perfectly every time. No more unplugging!

Tried everything, even plugged the stick into another tv and still no pic (there was brief period it was on but back to a black screen) Could it be that it is an outdated model, it was one of the first models Side note, ive plugged other devices into the hdmi and usb ports to see if it was that and everything worked fine Im guessing i need a new roku stick 🤔

This works forus everytime been having to do this on and off for over 6 months. The only difference is I'll leave it unplugged for at least a half hour after pressing buttons and removing remotes batteries. Sometimes 5 mins isn't enough

Sadly no luck here, tried holding both the power button on the TV and Remote for 30 seconds with the batteries removed, and it's just stuck in a red light state I appreciate the advice regardless and it seems everyone here is better off for it

I think i have to throw my roku 2 away....the power plug 'AC in' input has a poor connection....it is in the unit not the cord...i have to wiggle the cord to one side and hold it there to get power. As soon as i put the roku down the connection stops and the power goes out. I tried a new adapter but it is where the 'prong' goes into the unit that must be faulty. I could try to tape the cord to the side of the unit but that's likely not good. So annoying! Time to get a new roku!
