Oh man, thank you so much. This worked perfectly. I've been using the speaker to talk on the phone for weeks now, but now I can return to normal phone calls. I never even considered doing this. I Just tried this cleaning method for my 3.5 year old Note 9 that had low volume. The speaker grill is silver now (was black before) and the volume is almost twice as loud as it was 5 minutes ago! I was worried that I might need to buy a new phone, but I won't need to now. Absolutely spot on mate👍👍. I used a soft toothbrush then used a vacuum cleaner on low power to gently clear out the earpiece of fluff. Bingo. Worked great.

Hi This improved the volume by about 50% but did not fix the problem completely. When I examined the speaker grill strip with a 10X magnifier I could see that many of the VERY small holes were blocked. I presume this is oil. grease from the skin over 4 or 5 years. I trimmed back some thin electrical cable and teased out one of the very thin wires. I tediously poked the white gunk from every hole and now its 100% . I was going to use this problem as an excuse to buy a new S22 ultra. I can now go on holiday instead!!!! Many thanks for the fix.

It seems to be really hard to scrub it clean. But if you have access to compressed air, just dab a little alcohol on it and blow it out at an angle . It works now like it did when it was knew!!! Thanks for the good tip, that got me started in the right direction!!!

@@collinjackson5032 Just use the lowest pressure you can , not directly on the screen If you have a regulated air chuck that should work great. Just take your time and recheck each time you blow it out.
